Pammy No worries , thanks for sharing it. I'm sorry about your son though. They're a worry boys aren't they. I think it's true when they say that you lose your lads but they come back to you when they are older and settled. I hope so anyway. All you can do is be there for them.
It's funny that your lad said for you not to get him anything as he hadn't been back home. It's something that my ds2 (16) would say and do by text ( the one I had problems with ) I find that kind of talk a bit attention seeking. I think it's best to just ignore silly comments like that . Don't chase him and he'll come back. At the end of the day these lads are just 16 and it shows. They think they are all grown up but they're not they just want their mum.

Thanks Michelle. I've missed catching up on your diary and have wondered how you was doing. I'm hoping when I pop over that you've posted the finished kitchen pictures. How wonderful to have it all done for Christmas.
I feel like I've missed so much on here over the last few weeks. Something had to give somewhere for me though as time wise I can't manage reading diaries all day and preparing for Christmas ! ...Your new diary is HUGE already. I can't just read the last page either I HAVE to read from the beginning! I'm looking forward to catching up though.
I can't believe how much December has whizzed by so far - it's scary.
Take care

Afternoon!
After some absense from the board and spending most of my time over Xmas on the grabbit board - I'm back!
Good news...
We've had an offer on the house ( 3 in total now) and we've accepted it. £5450 below the asking price, so not bad....bad news? Well they still have theirs to sell so basically the offer means nothing but a light hearted agreement. We've got another viewing booked with someone else for Tuesday and we've just had 2 viewers last week ( one of which put the offer in ) so the market look likes it's picking up.
The lovely house by the waterfall that we REALLY want has been rented out. I've been in talks with the owner and he wants to sell but the lease isn't up until June.I don't really want to move into temporary accommodation with 6 children and I don't know if that will affect the mortgage offer or not. Will everything still stand the same mortgage wise and we'll just have the equity to put down? I know there will be 2 lots of moving costs / solicitor costs this way but not sure of anything else?
I'm hoping the owner will accept our offer as if we give him the asking price we won't be able to do the house up. The kitchen and bathroom/ ensuite just isn't liveable ( for us ) although he has tenants in their already that use it fine. God I sound like a spoilt princess ! :rotfl:
So now I'm trying to OP a little more so the figures look good. It bothers me about the money, not the paying the mortgage I know we can afford it but I'm still on maternity pay and it finishes soon I want to look like we can afford it on paper with all these children when my pay runs out ! I think they only count 2 dependants though but not sure where I've heard that from.
We've got 4k on a CC so I'm overpaying it like mad but expecting money from a insurance claim and OH's bonus soon so I can wipe it out plus some.
Mortgage OP £70 for Feb now so far, transferred £30 across today from my hair budget fund ( I'll have to tip less and try and avoid a cut later in the year !) I have budgets for everything it would make you laugh if you saw it. I like the challenge of trying to stick to them
Anyway a monsterous post from me, once I start I cant stop!
Sorry if I come across as a little erratic , I'm very up/down atm and suffering from PND although I'm the happiest I've ever been! Hormones hey !

Iris,
I just want to wish you good luck.
The feeling you get from paying off your mortgage is amazing. Not least the freedom it gives you.
I hope you succeed in your plans.
Best Wishes,

Yay! Iris is back posting.
So pleased to see your update and find out what is going on with the house.
And you didn't sound spoilt when you said about the bathroom. I have put up with less than desirable options (stained baths, poor showers and stuff like that) in rental houses, but i didn't have kids then. I am more than a bit finnicky about what i do with them.
Now you are back you will soon get back into the MFW swing i am sure. Nowts changed.0 -
Thanks for taking the time out to post. It's so nice to see people reading and taking the time to post. I know people read my diary but I don't think they have keyboards like us.
:D
I actually feel quite positive about it all today. I can't wait to move, new start and all that and it'll be so nice for me and OH to buy a house together.
I'm hoping my TCB account is going to throw some money my way this month. I've got £160 ish waiting to clear. Id like to OP as much as I can of it.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0
