Nice to see you back on here! I enjoyed reading your diary before Xmas.
A house by a waterfall sounds lovely! Is it in the same area you are in now? Don't think you sound spoilt with your comments about bathroom/kitchen -a rented house is more often than not a short term thing so you put up with things not being perfect, but if it is going to be your family home you want it to be right for you all.
Fingers crossed your offer is accepted!Mort at highest - June 2008 - £171,000 - Daily Int 5.9% = £27.64:eek:Offset Mort - Nov 2010 £150,299- Daily Int 3.75% = Nov £15.44Mortgage Jan 2012 - £136,000 - Daily Int 3.75% - £3.100 -

Sun is shining, ( a little ) life is good and my wonderful s9x bomb of a OH is off work all of next week ! :j
Well it’s nearly the end of the month. Are we all eager to see our new mortgage balance updated? Or is it just me! We will be under 86k. :j
I’ve contacted the mortgage people today to say that I want to reduce my term not my payment, just in time to as they were doing their review soon and my payments would have been adjusted. By just paying my normal mortgage payment of £601 pm I’m now overpaying £6.68 a month by keeping the payments the same. Whoo hoo. The bank is sending me a letter out to confirm and tell me my new debt free date.
Overpayments for the month are: £139.00 – not a lot but better than nothing , I’ve paid loads off to the CC bill though which should be wiped next month.
Good news : My OH had a car accident in 2007 (on my policy ) when someone drove in the back of him and said it was his fault. It’s been many stressful months of them looking at our finances, credit card bills and so on due to a dispute with the car hire. As a result, it brought back up all my anxiety and depression from way back when I was a single parent and struggling with debt and spending to feel better. I didn’t even know who I owed money to.
Anyway..today we’ve been told that we’ll be getting the compensation money soon and we’ll receive back all the money we had to pay out. It’s all been sorted except the hire car bit which is why they wanted the credit card bills etc. But it’s not my problem now. Poor OH really suffers every now and again with his neck and back but we just want closure on it all.
Bad news: My combination microwave broke! I’ve got a new one coming from currys, £40 off in the sale, 15% off with code, cash back and free delivery. So all in all, I’m pleased with that price. All paid for as nothing goes on the CC anymore.
And ..Son 3's leg still not healed from his fall from a tree in October but is slowly getting better.
I can barely walk as I have a inflamed foot near my arch, it's been 8 weeks now , if it doesn't clear in 4 I have to have steroid injections
Babyb Hiya - No the house isn't nearby, close enough to know where the area is but not too close that I know street names ,if you know what I mean. It would mean a change of school for the two that go now DS3 and DS4 but I feel that it would be a better way of life to move there. Village life and all that.
Take care and happy weekend everyone!
Iris x
Little baby blue has got hold of my letter from the solicitors as I write and he's screaming laughing and licking it. Funny how little simple things keep them entertained.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -

Hello Iris
I really wish the Britannia would join the 21st century so that we could overpay online.
Have a lovely weekend.

EST DFD JAN 2021 (that needs to change)

I have 2 bags of scone mix, 3 of soft bap mix, 2 of naan bread mix, 2x3kilos of strong bread flour, and a huge bag of jelly crystals. And that was only part of the order. :rotfl:
It is so easy to spend a fortune once you start, and then not know where it is all going when it arrives, but it does help save money. I am surprised you haven't used them before. Is that why you got a code?0
