And that is what makes them affordable, therefore a beautiful blessing for some - in time they will mellow, be altered and become more individual - what a difference a mature wisteria up the front of that house would make, or putting in full height first floor windows.:)

I remember Clerkenwell when it was a really nasty dump, some of the houses there were incredibly ugly until they were given a bit of TLC and some carefull alterations. It is a bit different there now!
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Well, actually, they call themselves estate agents. I am sure that it would be worthwhile for sellers to hire in their own photographer for say £100 - business idea there for someone!

So many photos are so appalling,I assumed it was like car sales where they contracted out someone at £6 an hour to take photos,
I think ea need to take a bit more pride in their work, they are been paid by the client,so no,I won't be using my hard earned to get a job done they should have done right in the first place.:rotfl:

Sad thing is that when you're desperate to move the eye and brain plays tricks on you and you start willing yourself to like something however ugly it is. I've caught myself over the past few months house hunting falling into this trap and then in a cold sweat seen the real situation.

I know exactly what you mean, having just been through that myself.

If I was an EA earning commission from a sale I think I'd go around with a load of bin liners & dump stuff in them from each room before taking the piccies - then probably suggst they adopted the same principle at each viewing. I would move wheelie bins as a matter of course - I had a hissy fit when an EA took a picture with wheelie bins in it & insisted they retook pic. Come to think of it, the house looked quite similar to some of the cell block pictures on here :o
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    I agree about the bins.

If they can't be bothered to clean up for the agent, they're never going to clean up for viewers. At least you've seen the pictures and go there knowing it's a pigsty and are mentally prepared to see beyond that.
    Been away for a while.

£62k ... he's paying too much. One of those was snapped up for £27k in 2003.
