I am so mad at my postman

  • My Postie is terrible for doing this sort of thing. Despite Ive told him where he can leave things I have had things left in weird places. One a special delivery that was left at the side of the house near the bins, no card left and it had been there for two days before we went to the bin and saw it there.
The other most memorable one was in the heat of last summer, we have a fornightly bin collection and despite the bins being cleaned every fortnight had problems with flies and maggots and he left a parcel in our black bin and again no card left so next time we went to put a sack in the bin we found the parcel covered in maggots:eek:.

I complained both times, and made the claims for damages myself though as it was not the sellers fault we had a :( postie

Hi OP people posting this is the sellers responsability are right but in your case I would contact the seller to get a copy of the proof of posting and put the claim in myself.
This will firstly give you your chance to complain to the post office about the way the item was delivered and secondly this may stop this happening again to you in the future.

I had a postie who would leave things outside my door in a tennament of flats. Although the front door to the block was secure I lived in the first floor so all the other tennents would walk past my door on the way to theirs'. Unsurprisingly parcels started going walkies so I asked the postie to stop leaving things outside my door. His response was to simply stop delivering parcels! On a number of occassions I would get a "we tried to deliver...." slip through the door when I knew he hadn't knocked. One time after getting a slip, I opened the door and asked if I could have my parcel only to be told I couldn't have it both ways and I could go to the collection office to get it myself! Thankfully I now live somewhere else and have a postie with common sense.

my posties a star and will leave things safely hidden round back. However thats because we had a chat about it, she offered, i said yes please we're both happy and it works.

The OP's postman is a numpty. If he'd been mine I would be waiting for him the next time he is due and would tear shreds off him, aswell as putting a complaint in.

And if the sun had come out..........how would that have dealt with the warped vinyl...........???

It wouldn't have warped at my house because I have a cottage with 3' thick walls and an inset porch area that the sun doesn't reach :p but I guess not everyone is so lucky.

I won a vinyl record on Ebay a few days ago. It's quite a rare one and I've been after it for a while. I came home from work to find it propped up against my front door.

Give the postie some much deserved abuse, and hopefully next time he'll fold the records so they fit through your letterbox.
