I am so mad at my postman

It was outside in the rain for 6 hours (assuming the postman came at midday which isn't unreasonable).Sorry, but imo the seller should've used waterproof wrapping.
It would have had to have been completely watertight to survive that, which most packaging won't be. Even a plastic bag would have let some water in. A jiffy bag is acceptable packaging, but would that have survived? No.
I have bought many viny records from ebay, and they all have come packaged like this. It's only when stupid postmen don't realise rain is wet that problems occur.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I've had things left on my doorstep before now - totally irresponsible (and illegal) by RM. The other week I had a parcel (which was a mirror) pushed through the window!! Had it not been for the HUGE amount of bubble wrap the seller had used it would have been smashed to bits. I was also annoyed that the postman would have had to walk over my flower beds to get to the window :-(
Don't be daft - it's not illegal. Thoguh most things are these days.
Love the story about the mirror though. Priceless.0 -

Really? When I sell on ebay, it goes in a bubble envelope, and i sold shoes the other day, went in a black bag wrapped around. Lol. Seller probably didn't think the PO would leave it outside on a doorstep!
Though, I kinda feel bad for the postman, he was probably just trying to be helpful. So many times they get a bad rap for not even trying to deliver and dumping those horrible cards

Helpful? It was outside the front door and raining!!!!!!
I had a helpful stand in postie leave a parcel in my recently emptied wheelie bin. It was an item of clothing - I could have been on holiday and not picked it up for......two weeks or more possibly!!0 -
Has any of you tried telling the postie how you feel? Apart from the person who has the Milk Tray man delivering.0

See? you have to think outside the box. Or inside the box. I'm confused.0

regardless of how it was wrapped if it had been nicked you'd hav been none the wiser to its packaging. Postie's don't follow what they are meant to i'm afraid. I had a recorded delivery item left on my doorstep! I've got plenty of hiding places/greenhouse but he decided to leave it on show!0

Rubbish.........:rotfl:Not Again0 -
And if the sun had come out..........how would that have dealt with the warped vinyl...........???
Very good point!
It was packed safely by the seller, as it arrived unbroken. If post had to be waterproof just incase anything is left in the rain, why are envelopes made of paper?0
