Quite a few butterflies already here despite it being windy west coast:D

Lovely sunny afternoon - hooray. Saw a butterfly again, wonder if it was the same one? :rotfl:
Cut the grass for the first time this year , it was still quite wet and a bit marshy but thought I'd better do it as more rain forecast :p. Also planted out the violas I bought in Tosco. They are replacing the cyclamen which have completely collapsed. I do like violas - they are very cheery and I like the colours in their little 'faces'.

Had a back appointment this morning, visited a friend and then did some shopping. Got a pressie for niece's birthday at the weekend so pleased with that.
OH making noises again about giving up work as his job has changed yet again - this time into some very unreasonable requirements so I'm thinking he really means it this time  - will need to look at budgets again but at least mortgage is below £10000.

Another quick weekend - think they are speeding up .
I was a bit optimistic in my previous post as the online banking finally updated and the mortgage isn't quite below £10,000 but £88+ over so not far off. I don't do spreadsheets [sorry GG & Lois] but take guesses and occasionally scribble figures in my notebook so am not always entirely accurate :o.

Anway £40 payout from Onepoll arrived so that can go towards an OP and got lots of change to bank which should result in it REALLY being sub 10K :D.

Did a Mr A shop, spent less than usual but now realise thats because I didn't get ingredients to make meals for OH beyond Wednesday :o - don't meal plan either apparently :o.

Weather pretty pants again, really cold and windy here. Did some washing and risked putting it out - very firmly pegged on the line. Kept an eye on it as neighbours wirly gig thingy got uprooted .

Also made large pot of BN squash, pepper, carrot and chilli soup for lunches. Bread made too and will make aubergine bake tomorrow after work. Terriyake salmon for tea - yum.

Got 2 Amazon sales to pack so better get a wriggle on [1 me, 1 for a friend]. Hope everyone has a good week, Teapot x

    Serves you right :rotfl:.

    Seriously, nearly there :T:T:T
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Sorry! I didn't mean to saddle you with an extra £90k of mortgage debt!

Please can I still come to your sub-£10k party?

Oh dear, been absent for ages; real life has been hectic. OH had a significant b'day and we had folk to stay which necessitated much tidying and cleaning.

Meal out with about ten folk which was lovely and then back to ours to continue........... Quite a spendy week but had been putting money aside. OH had a great time and really enjoyed himself. We bought him a new piece of tech which he really likes, family contributed towards it and I've just paid it all off as the CC bill was in.

Work hectic as well but has calmed down quite a bit now - phew. I've not been idle on the MFW front despite my absence from this diary. We had a good look at the accounts we've got and chucked as much money as poss at OPing. Most of the money was in accounts that paid little or no interest :o:o. I paid out the money I had for tax in my business account but worked out that I can get it built back up before I need to pay the HMRC. The result is that we are now down to £4284 with the mortgage :j:j:j. Wanted to get it as low as poss in case OH goes ahead with his plan to leave work this year. Looking quite likely as he's just had yet another unpleasant meeting with his unpleasant line manager.

In other news, the weather has been very changeable. Was so cold and wet last night we had the heating on for a while whereas tonight I've only just closed some of the windows! Its been very warm today with just one heavy shower of rain. Had quite a chilled out weekend, out for coffee y'day and then big shop at Mr A, unfortunately not as big as I'd like as they were out of loads of stuff which seems to happen a lot there :-((. Did some weeding when we got back and cleared a lot of overgrown stuff from the big front flower bed.

Today we went out for breakfast and then had an easy day at home pottering about. Did the hovering and cleaned the wet room. Made some soup from spinach that was hanging about in the fridge. Am working tomorrow so best get off to bed - have a good week everyone. Teapot x
