OH working away this w/e so been busy tidying and declttering some more stuff. Got a recycling bag, charity bag and rubbish bag on the go and all nearly full :D.

Did a few loads of washing and hoovered everywhere [behind stuff which doesn't normally get done ]. Also cleaned shower, bathroom and fridge etc. Not the most exciting day but satisfying also a NSD.

Watched X Factor off and on and had a cheeky cider - last bottle :p. Won't be able to go big shopping until Monday as OH away so need to venture out tomorrow to get cat food and milk. Supposed to be good weather tomorrow so got a few bits to do in the garden. Hope to catch up with a couple of friends on the phone too :D

Listed some books n Amazon tonight while I was watching TV and one has sold already and for a decent price .

Heavy week at work but had a nice, fairly relaxing weekend so feeling quite chilled . It was lovely weather y'day so we went to the seaside for a wander and had a very yummy meal sitting next to the beach. Did a shopping at Mr T on the way home and used some vouchers we'd got in the week also filled up with petrol as it was cheapest in the area by quite a bit.

More washing out on the line today as it was warm and sunny again. Got all the beds changed over the weekend, hoovering done and bathroom cleaned. Grass cut this afternoon and did some weeding and tidying up as lots of leaves have fallen. I also cut down the buddleia [sp] bush as all the flowers had died off. I'm hoping to paint our new wall before the winter and the bush was in front of it so it hd to go. It'll grow back next year but in the meantime the cat will miss it as he used to sit under it and hide at the back if it was windy :rotfl:.

Made an OP of £20 last week by paying in some £2 coins, while I was in the bank I asked about seeing the mortgage advisor as our fixed term runs out at the end of Nov. Apparently they dont do face to face appts any more and you now have to speak to a call centre over the phone. Not very imoressed as I've never found they give consistent info so I'll ask for everything in writing as well I think.

Quite a good week for Amazon sales too  though nothing over the weekend. Am off to bed now as early start tomorrow and going for my back appt after work. Hope everyone has a good week :D Teapot x

Oh dear where did the last ten days go? Mortgage out and the rewards moved as an OP, we're hoping to get down to the next thousand before the end of the month by making another OP if possible. Am becoming aware of the approaching festivities at the end of December so need to put some cash aside for that too.

Was still mild at the weekend so did some tidying up in the garden and chopped up the rest of the buddleia bush, weeded and took out some old plants and the bean plants. Topped up a couple of pots ready to plant up soon. Going to try and declutter the shed a bit  so we can put the garden furniture away over the winter - theres a few things in there that can go on Freecycle so I just need to organise that. My 'to do' list seems to be getting ever longer again which is not so good.

On Sunday we had a day out and went to the cinema then had a pizza so was a very enjoyable day :D.

Had a few sales on Amazon again and been trying to declutter more books as well - there are some in boxes that I haven't opened since we moved up here .

On my way home from the station yesterday I walked down a path which has hedges on one side and a wall with houses beyond on the other. One area of hedge is really thick and the noise of sparrows from within is amazing, there are so many and they are so loud with their chirruping, singing and squabbling. There is a gap in the wall where you can walk through to the houses and I was busy being grateful for the birdsong as I approached it when a bird pf prey [sparrowhawk?] shot out from the gap obviously intent on grabbing itself a sparrow. Happily when it saw me it veered off and flew away so the wee speugs live another day :D.

Anyway enough rambling - day off tomorrow, where did the week go. Am meeting up with neice for lunch and a wee outing so hope its a bit less blustery and raw

Nice lunch with niece on Friday - yummy cake for afters. Also bought another Chrissie pressie making a total of 2 bought! Then went to local farm shop and got some onion marmalade and yummy 'proper' tomatoes.

Busy weekend with domesticals, went up the street on Saturday to post an Amazon order and hada mooch round the charity shops and a cheeky latte and scone. 2 more books sold over the weekend so doing quite well with sales at the mo.

Today was an unexpected 'free' day as my appointments were all cancelled or rescheduled . Hoovering done and floors washed. Also did some washing and hung it out as it was quite a nice day here. Sorted out a box of books and some can go to the recycling and others to charity shop as its not worth lisitng them on Amazon. Went up street to post books and did a bit of local shopping. Soup for lunch, made it yesterday. Then cooked some mince and tatties for OH - I've got quorn mince with aubergines and mushrooms. Decided to cut the grass as it was still sunny and tidied up the garden again.
Finished a roeprt for work and did some other admin. Phew tired tonight.
Cat was cross I had the laptop on and danced on the keyboard . He managed to get a screen I'd never seen before and the cursor froze :eek:. Couldn't get rid of the strange screen so in the end had to take the battery out. Seems to be ok now but naughty boy.

Was going to list some books tonight but too tired. Work tomorrow so off to bed soon. Am sure theres more but brain refusing to cooperate :o night all x

OK not going to be much money saving news in this post - just moaning :o. Have had the horrible lurgy thats going round up here - kindly donated by OH who had it first but not nearly so badly :(. Its the annoying lurg where the coughing gets 50 times worse when I lie down to sleep so very tired and not slept much in the last week. I spent the extra hour last night coughing and saw the clock on my phone go back as was still awake at 2am :o. Am hoping its on the way out now as fed up with it. Took a couple of days off last week to do some nice things but spent it in bed instead :p...... end of moaning.

We had a new mattress delivered at the weekend, very comfy and new pillows required too. Worked out old mattress was probably about 25 years old so it didn't owe us anything :rotfl:

Listed a few books on Amazon today which will hopefully kickstart sales again as nothing sold last week and felt too poorly to do anything about it.

Am off to bed in a mo and hopefully might get a few hours sleep fingers crossed.

Hope everyone stays safe in the weather thats forecast especially those down in the south, have a good week all, Teapot x

Nice OH is so generous that he shares everything with you! Tell him next time a pot of tea would be nicer:D

Hope the new mattress helps make you feel better, I was waking a few times a night achey and just thought it was a natural part of getting older until I got a new mattress - bliss - and mine was a youngster in comparison at 9 years old!

LOL he is generous to a fault!
New mattress very comfy - cat agrees, he spent the day nesting on the duvet
Got a slightly better sleep last night ie only woke up coughing about a dozen times so tired today. My first appointment at work tomorrow has been cancelled so going in later then got a back appointment which will be good as back hurts with all the coughing. Off to bed now, night all.

Oh my goodness, almost 2 months since I posted :o. I got one virus after another and it took ages to feel better and get my energy back by which time I was well behind with my Christmas preparations and also had several reports to do for work which take ages so I've only just caught up with myself and proofread the last report 2 days ago, wrote and posted the last card on Monday and wrapped the last present about an hour ago - phew :eek:. Sorry that was a vveerrrrry long sentence.

So tomorrow we are chilling out OH and I having salmon wellington and shredded sprouts and chestnuts cooked with butter and cream - yum plus a bottle of bucks fizz etc and whatever is on the tele. Boxing day is a big family get together so will see how that goes - sometimes ends in tears depending on drink consumption and lack of diplomacy :(.

Will definitely be back to update on MSE news and progress but just wanted to wish everyone a good, peaceful and chilled out Christmas, Teapot x
