Hi Lois  nice to see you back. Can't decide if you were posting really early or very late :rotfl:
Seeing as you asked.... the cat is very territorial and there's a new cat in the area he is fighting with. This pesky cat keeps coming into our garden and our boy reacts. Its had been limited to yowling until last week but developed into a proper fight
. I've told him hes too old for scrapping and its time to retire but he has so far ignored that helpful suggestion :rotfl:

Managed to get my Amazon sales posted before work as train was on time. Busy day then long meeting in the afternoon in a somewhat stuffy room so bit of a struggle to stay awake . When I went into the meeting it was quite overcast and dull but when I got out the sun was shining :j. Got an earlier train home than I thought I would so cup of tea in the garden in the sun - lovely.
Hope its a sunny dry day tomorrow as I'd like to cut the grass and do some weeding if possible.
Am quite tired so hoping for an early night but its till a lovely, light evening here.0 -
Thanks for the welcome back.
It was late. I was in bed but couldn't sleep. Put light on, fired up laptop, read some diaries to break that "can't sleep and can't stop thinking about not being able to sleep" thing. A bit later I had another go at putting the light off and going to sleep, and went off with no trouble. All the same, it was just as well I didn't have to get up for work this morning.
How annoying about the other cat. Hope the two of them manage to reach some kind of truce soon.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Thanks Lois, maybe I could market my diary as an alternative to sleeping tablets :rotfl:.
The cat now tolerates the cat over the road that he used to fight with [its a mini me] so hope the same might happen with this one but am not holding my breath.0 -
Woke up to sunshine this morning - lovely and warm, really lifts the spirits. Wacked on lots of washing to dry outside and got the grass cut. I did a wee bit of weeding but my back is not great so didn't get to do as much as I wanted.
I did some work invoices for May, paid my CC bill in full and moved the mortgage money around even though it probably won't come out until Monday.
Fell asleep for a bit in the afternoon - too much sun maybe? Then planned some seed planting for over the weekend as the weather is meant to be quite good and finally it might be warm enough for things to grow . Have also written out a long 'to do' list and made a start on some of it. Got some stuff ready to go to the charity shop and recycling bins so been quite a productive NSD.
Just remembered I took the bed clothes off to wash them and as per forgot to remake the bed so better beetle off and do that now0 -
Snap. I fell asleep this afternoon too. Feel very confused now as to what time it is. :rotfl: Hope your sleep did you good.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

I never feel great if I fall asleep during the day and I don't do it very often. My mum and dad always managed a lunch time nap which used to amaze me when I was young. Maybe I'm turning into my parents :eek: tho no sneaky snoozing today phew.0

Phew scorchio today - not used to this, moan moan :rotfl:. Got some towels washed and out on the line, think they dried almost immediately
Bit of a spendy day yesterday, OH and I went out for lunch under the pretence of posting letters up the street. Then showed OH some sandals I'd seen that I thought he might like and he did and he bought them!
Did some more gardening until it got too hot and planted night scented stock and some geraniums and those blue flowers I love but whose name escapes me for the moment.
Also hoovered round as cat manages to spread litter everywhere and had deposited lots of fur on the floor. Then we went to MrA to stock up for the week.
Hoping to have a haircut tomorrow and do a bit of shopping for stuff I couldn't get in Mr A as they are so rubbish.0 -
Another lovely day today - was hoping for a long lie but wide awake at 7.30
so just got up. Washed some sheets and towels and pottered about.
Went up the street with OH as we needed a few bits and I wanted to get some more weedkiller spray as the other one is finished. We have gravel at the front and its got lots of weeds which are difficult to get rid of - I looked it up on t'internet and apparently the roots spread a long way under ground. Its sort of brown with yellow flowers and really spreads.
Went to the bakers and garden centre then went for a coffee. OH really likes the sandals he bought last weekend so he bought another pair so he has a back up:rotfl: Posted a couple of Amazon sales too - not very big ones but it all adds up
Did some stuff in the garden too - more weeding and used the weedkiller. Planted some more nastushrium seeds [that doesn't look like the right spelling] as the soil isn't great and they seem to grow in poor conditions and I love them. Some of the other seeds I planted have come up too which makes me stupidly excited to see
. Also cleaned up the table and gave it a good scrub. We didn't use it at all the last couple of 'summers' as the weather was so bad kept finding it upended at the foot of the garden in bits
. Sooooo hope am not tempting fate, its very nice to sit out under the brolly reading my book.
Bit of a lazy evening, had a chippy tea and watched bit of BGT. Off to bed in a mo, cats just sicked up a fur sausage - poor boy must have hurt judging by the yowling0 -
Anther lovely warm day here :j. Did some housework and then sat out in the garden for a while. Went to Mr A and spent far more than usual . I tried to do some meal planning but not sure I've got the hang of it as the fridge is rammed full - possibly 2 weeks worth of food so have put some in the freezer. Clearly I do better when I don't plan and go out without a list :rotfl:.
Had lunch in the garden accompanied by neighbours screaming grandweans who apeared to be playing war games - not very peace and quiet . Did some weeding and tidied up the front garden then watered everywhere when the sun went down. Cooked some chicken pieces in a casserole for OH and levered them into the fridge when cool.
Need to update my MFin3 details as thats come round again - we are on £21,477 [from memory] but no OPs at the moment as waiitng to hear from Hali about how much we can OP - got a bit of money put aside towards that.
Sad to hear about Iain Banks dying - very talented writer and seemed like a nice. genuine guy. Will try and remember to watch his final interview this week
Busy week at work coming up with some early starts so better head off in a bit. Just need to get clothes sorted out and do my lunch. Have to book a vet appt for cat this week as his jags are due. Just seen the cat he fights with strolling in our garden so won't be letting him out tonight. As he's been out in the sun all day he doesn't seem that bothered for once. Have a good week everyone - hope the sun keeps shining. Teapot x
