Hmmm, I'm reserving judgement on the new info ~ I've only had a quick scoot on there but I didn't like my address being on there
What's the point in that?? Also mine & DH's name & qualifications?! Didn't have time to have a good look at everything else, hopefully will do later today though.
No OPs for a while so my balance was a bit underwhelmingThe new lower MP came out this month so I must OP at least £50 or I'll feel like I'm going back over!!
Hope you manage to get tickets for the gig today'A watched potato will never chit'...0 -
Hi Poppy, yes its a bit weird having the address in there - I think thats because some people have more than one mortgage on different properties so it shows which property the info relates to. Are you serious about your qualifications being on there?
I quite like the fact that there will be a list of any OPs on there so it makes it easier to keep track rather than waiting for the annual statement.
Time will tell I suppose.0 -
Not a list of qualifications
DH has a professional qualification & that shows after his name for some obscure reason.

:rotfl:How weird - I really thought you were joking! If the [EMAIL="H@lifax"]H@lifax[/EMAIL] request to know my inside leg measurement I shan't be telling :eek:0 -
Quite a busy and spendy day yesterday . Poor OH is having a horrible time at work - honestly how some people get to be managers with such a lack of people skills I don't know, or maybe its a job requirement
. Anyway he's been really upset and as he works a lot from home its always in the house as it were. So, in order to take his mind off it have banned him from switching on his work PC and tried to arrange some stuff to do. We went out for breakfast yesterday and a mooch round some shops. The weather was decent too. Then we went to Mr A and stocked up for the week and used some coupons too. Quite a bit of stuff for the freezer and a big box of soap powder so it was expensive but will last [I hope].
It was niece's birthday yesterday so 9 of us went out for a meal and drinks. Knew it would be expensive but had put some cash aside so it was budgetted for. Meal very nice but not at all in my eating planso day off from that.
Weather strange today - its warmer but very wet and windy. The daffs are getting blown about big style. Need to do a washing and make some soup for lunch. Also a casserole for OH, chicken and chorizo I think. Then some admin bits to do but hopefully some time to chill out as well. Enjoy your Sunday everyone.0 -
Managed to do everything on my list and also made some bread . Packed a book I sold on Amazon and will post that tomo along with a friends b'day card.
Had quite a chilled out day, just waiting for cat to come back then can go to bed, got bag packed for tomo and lunch ready.
This is the first day this year that we haven't had to put the heating on at some point in the day so long may it continue.
Had a look at ISAs, need an easy access one but none of them seem that exciting so will think about it a bit more.
Hope everyone has a good week, Teapot x0 -
Lots of weather this week - most of it really strong, gusty winds  this resulted in our back fence being blown down, its been repaired a number of times already and its not repairable this time
:(. Our neighbour [its a shared fence] has arranged for 3 quotes to replace it and the first quote was for £1600 :eek::eek:. The problem is that the folk we bought the house from landscaped the back and built in different levels. To keep our garden from falling into next door's garden they put in cement and breeze blocks and then the fence on top. This apparently makes it v complicated and expensive to replace the fence. Will have to wait and see what the other two quotes are but I suspect its going to be spendy.
OH is away overnight with work, his train was really late so he's only just arrived. I'm all ready for work tomorrow so will head off to bed soon.
Very quiet on the book selling front this week so hope that picks up again. Need to plant some seeds this week [indoors] more gales forecast and colder weather with frost next weekend so not worth planting anything else at the moment up here
Have a good week all,,,,,,,,,,,,0 -
Goodness - where did the last week go? Was busy at work but not sure what else I did
. Did go out with OH for a meal on Friday eve, new place that has opened nearby, quite nice, just pub food really, OH paid. Weekend whizzed by too, it was a lovely day yesterday with lots of sun. I went up the street in the morning and picked up OH's birthday pressie as he was out working so I could sneak it in. I've got his Xmas poster framed so hope he likes it. Also paid in a cheque and some cash from work and posted a friend's birthday pressie.
Spent the afternoon in the garden and did some weeding and tidying up. The gravel has lots of dandelions which I find really difficult to remove so I've zapped those with some weedkiller. Sore back and really tired after - not used to the sunshine I suspect . Chilled out in the evening. We needed a printer as not really able to use OH's work one any more so OH bought a wifi one which also scans and copies [was on offer of course]. Will be really handy. Its all set up and working though it was a bit of a nightmare to install [I didn't do it as no very tech savvy]. Cat a bit freaked out by noisy machine in corner spitting out bits of paper :rotfl:- another thing for him to worry about!
Today been quite busy, some admin done and got more to do after this as am avoiding it now . Also did some washing, didn't hang it out as not nice weather today. I dodged the showers to cut back a big bush in the front garden which has been spreading in all directions except upwards. Got 90% done before the rain came so it looks a bit strange but can hopefully finish it in the week. Felt a bit guilty as its about to flower and the bees love it [can't remember what its called, gets blue flowers]. Have left lots of flowers on the top though so should be ok I hope. Came in and quickly made some sweet potato, carrot and pepper soup. Had some of said soup then went to visit a friend who is about to move house. Had planned to make a cake but no time so bought one which probably tasted better than mine would have :rotfl:mmmm chocolate.
Sold two books on amazon this evening so will pack those up and send them. Quite a few work invoices to do for this month so just one more to go. Am off tomorrow - no work but lots of tidying up to do and need to go shopping as didn't do that over weekend.
Phew, have a good week all xx0 -
Bet you're glad to get back to work for a rest :rotfl:.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

You're not wrong there.
Busy day again, washing done and some hung out with loads of pegs as it was soooo windy - a guid drying day. Also hoovered round and tidied up. Had a few work emails to do which all seemed to be quite complicated but all done and last of the invoices up to date so quite pleased with that. Mind you when I got responses to my emails I then had to answer them too. Went to PO to post Amazon sales and then to Mr A to stock up for the week.
Came home and cooked some Quorn mince for OH and me and had a wee sit down . Tonight listed some books on Amazon and read OH's report for work [I check it for repetition, grammar and lack of diplomacy :rotfl:]. Also tried to help with his new work expenses guidelines which are doing his head in!!
That is all, off to bed now - night, night0
