Very wet morning here so didn't go out to Mr A until the afternoon when it cleared up a bit. Prices seem to have gone up again on quite a few things so spent about £60 as the fridge was bare. Got quite a few bits for the freezer as well.

Haven't done very much else, made some bread for my eating plan and did some admin bits. Managed to get through the day without falling asleep or going back to bed so am hoping I'm on the mend. Working tomorrow so early night I hope.

Have a good week everyone x

Heid less foggy thanks - am hoping I'm sorted but we shall see ;).

Hope you get a better sleep tonight - I always find the house is freezing cold if I get up hours before everyone else.

Am off to bed myself shortly. Just watching the news and tutting about whats happening in Cyprus . Night, night.

I am being really impatient about waiting to see my mortgage statement online now. Its been nearly a week already!
I rang them to put my MPs back up, had to wait 12 mins to get through but it was a freephone so wasnt worried.

(I had to look up what mince head was lol - gathered it wasnt the urban definition you were talking about!!)
Hope you are starting to feel better :)

Hi Pammy  am also tapping my toes waiting for the mortgage info to go back online.

You are right re mince heid definition - it doesn't involve alcohol or majorly messing up. In my case it started off being 'my heid is mince' which can be defined as 'when someone's thoughts are in a state of abject confusion, especially when facing a severe dilemma' or in my case feeling poorly :rotfl:Here endeth the lesson. Mince seems to be a handy word in these parts and gets used in a variety of non food related phrases - mostly if not exclusively non complimentary .

Nearly had a NSD yesterday but cracked while waiting for the train - didn't buy a coffee but did get 2 yummy chocolate puddings fron the M&S :o. My excuse is that some comfort food was needed due to the freeeezing weather.

Today however was a NSD, snowed solidly since last night but none of it has lain. Absolutely freezing though with a bitter wind so a good excuse to stay in all day.

Got a very [for them] speedy response from Hali saying they couldn't tell us about our overpayment due to 'impending system updates' and we should contact them again about it after 11th March. The letter is dated 8th March so why didn't they just wait a few days and reply with the updated info or is that too sensible?. I think they'll do all they can to delay OPs - paranoid, moi :o.

On the house work front made a big casserole for OH and hoovered round. Got some books listed on Amazon as its been fairly quiet there lately. Also did a couple of invoices for work I've done. I was reading in other diaires where folk talk about payday and getting paid on the same day every month. It made me think about how I always have to have enough money in my account to cover stuff as I never know when I'll get paid as it comes in dribs and drabs. Also if the person who deals with invoices in an organisation is on holiday there's usually a couple of weeks extra delay in being paid as they are the only person who deals with finance. I do have one job where I get paid on the same day every month but its not my main earner :p. Ah the joys of being self employed [but I do like it].

Rant over, budget tomorrow - more cuts and gloom I expect. At least we're not in the Cyprus situation - doesn't look good for them.

Will have to go to the PO tomorrow as have got an Amazon sale to post  and a cheque to bank for OH. Hope the weather might be a bit less cold and blowy.

Opened the curtains yesterday morning to be greeted by snow everywhere . OH was away overnight for work but coming back in the afternoon so I shovelled the snow off the decking and out by the road so he could get in when he got home. Put lots of salt/sand down as it was very slippery. Bit knackered after that as had to get it done before work. After work hung around for a while then went to a leaving do for someone I work with.

Absolutely freezing again today - its the wind that makes it so cold. Had planned to go out but chickened out so a NSD :D. Was going to get something for my lunch tomorrow as I'm on a course all day but then remembered there is some tuna in the freezer which I can make into a salad with hard boiled eggs etc. Not sure its salad weather but am sure I'll survive ;).

Roasted a squash then made some really thick, yummy soup. OH has still got some stew to eat so thats made about 3 meals this week.

I wrote off to the Hali again to get info on how much we can overpay. Waiting for a cheque to clear, OH inherited some shares from his dad who got them from his work and he just received a divi cheque so that'll make an OP. Not sure whats happening re online mortgage info - is Hali going to put the info back or will we have to do something? Can't see anything about that in the info they sent out.

Listed quite a few books on Amazon - been very quiet for me on there lately so keeping my fingers crossed that will help.

Off to bed now, its snowing currently so hope it won't be too bad tomorrow. At least I don't have an early start for my course. Hope everyone is keeping warm - poor folk without power, must be awful.

Brrr!! No snow here but it's freezing & we're getting battered by extremely strong & icy cold winds!!

I think the mortgage info should come back automatically, that's what I'm expecting to happen anyway. Wish it would hurry up!!
