Woke up feeling grotty so didn't go to work - went back to bed for a while and felt better when I woke up. Took it easy for the rest of the day - hung out some washing and cuddled the cat but that was about it!

Back to work tomorrow so lunch sorted out and bag packed. Mortgage comes out tomorrow, money moved around for Reward as well.

OH back from his work trip about 8pm, he's in bed already as v tired poor soul.

Is it only me I wonder........... gets up and thinks its a good drying day so lets wash the bedding. Throughout day think periodically 'must remember to remake bed'. Go to bed late having not acted on these thoughts - very tired but have to make bed up before getting in to it. Do that nearly every time :o doh.

Where did the weekend go, how can it be Sunday night already? Went shopping yesterday morning to get bits and pieces and post an Amazon sale . Mr As in the afternoon to stock up for the week - for 2nd time running nothing, nada on the price guarantee, pah.

OH's email account hacked so that took ages to sort out - what a pain. Started to make bread in the evening and forgot I'd left it in the boiler cupboard to rise, only remembered about 10.30pm so had to stick the oven on and bake it then so quite a late bed time.

Had a long lie this morn than spent much of the day doing admin bits. OH a coughing and a spluttering today and took to his bed though did do the hoovering first. I made some sweet potato, carrot and coriander soup which will do a couple of lunches. Teriyake salmon and rice for tea - yum. OH had his without sauce and took to his bed after. Hope he feels better soon [and doesn't pass on the lurgy].

Arranged to go out with sis on Wed which I'm looking forward to. Another sale on Amazon, packed up and ready to post.

Need to get my head round ISAs for the coming year - we've both got a couple of ISAs already with bits of money in but need to consolidate them and get one with a decent interest rate.

Hope everyone has a good week, Teapot x

:eek:Best not read on if you are squeamish:eek:
I've made disparaging comments re the cat;s apparent inabilty to spot mice running about due to snoring away next to the radiator. However I went out to hang some washing in the garden and stepped over what looked like a fur ball on the back step. Thought I'd better clean it up and on closer inspection thought it had some blood in it. Even closer inspection revealed it was a mouse head with some blood and bits attached  - at least he didn't leave it in my bed :p. So, I take it all back - he can do hunting but I can do without the presents. OH is not convinced and reckons it was a neighbour's cat wot done it

OH feeling a wee bit better tho still very tired. He is eating a bit more now so hopefully on the mend.

Not had much luck with trains to and from work this week - several journeys late and had to rearrange some appointments. Sometimes I think longingly of when I could walk five minutes down the road to work.

Day off today and went out with sis for a jaunt and lunch which was very nice tho its much colder here today and windy. Got a bit of shopping on way home. Hoping for a quiet evening as quite a long, busy day tomorrow, hope the train behaves .

Need to search for a book I've sold on GM and I've no idea where it is . Will also watch Bones later and get stuff ready for tomo.

Hi Lois, Nicky and Poppy, thanks for reading and thanking, its good to know I'm not just talking to myself on here :rotfl:.

Trains behaved on Thursday and arrived and departed on time. By sharpening my elbows I even managed to get a seat on the very busy London bound train home :o. Busy day so was very tired by the time I got back. Luckily I had some quorn mince left and had that with grated cheese so no cooking required.

Think I've got OH's cold but hopefully not as bad as he had it. Feeling very tired and ears and nose blocked :p. My head is full of mince too which is alarming for someone who doesn't eat meat . Just mostly chilled out yesterday so a NSD.

Will have to go out later today aa we need shopping from Mr A but I've written a list as not sure I'd come away with anything useful otherwise :rotfl:. Cheque arrived in post for some of last months work but that will have to wait until Monday to be paid in as I don't have the energy to walk to the PO before 12.30 to pay it in!

Freezing cold here last couple of days and lots of rain too - snow forecast but it might miss us here.

Well my optimism over no snow was misplaced and its a white out :p. Cat has ben insisting on going out tonight - there is a small cat bottom shaped melted patch of snow by the back door!! I just let him in and he has snow stuck all over his fur so has had a rub down and some treats. Hes by the radiator now and I don't think he'll be asking to go out agsin tonight. The wind is whistling and blowing the snow around and the stuff thats lying has frozen.

OH is going away again tomorrow so I might have to sand and clear the decking so he can get out if its till the same tomorrow .

Still sneezing and full of cold here so didn't go out. Had a long lie and late breakfast then washing, hoovering, bill paying and other such exciting tasks.

Glad I made a list before going food shopping yesterday - and remembered to take it along with me :D. Got everything on the list so that should do us for the week tho OH will be away until Wed affy. Mr A was busy with lots of people buying flowers, choocolates and smellies. As both OH & I are orphans. we didn't partake.

A NSD today but will need to get some milk tomorrow at some point and got some stuff to post and that cheque to pay in.

Watched the rugby yeaterday - disappointing that Scotland lost after their last two games :o.

Am off to bed now as its freezing here even with the heating on. Night all, have a good week and keep warm. Teapot x

Hmm, freezing even with the heating on?? Sounds like our house!! :D

Our puss usually wants to go out on a night (except when it's blowing a hoolie!!) so I'm really glad we got the cat shelter that Piq mentioned on her diary ~ makes me feel less guilty when it snows overnight like it did last night!! :o

Hope your cold is better today.

Hi Poppy :hello:, oh dear re cold houses. I've turned heating up tonight :o but extremeties are freezing. Will be having an early night.

Does your cat stay out all night? Our boy just goes in and out of an evening but always sleeps indoors. Glad s/he likes the shelter - am still not sure about getting one as its so windy here.

    Cold update to follow :rotfl:

Woke up to even more snow this morning. Vainly hoped the sun might melt it but no luck. So after breakfast I went out and brushed snow away and then sanded/salted the ice underneath. Did the decking, path and then out the gate to the road so OH could get out. Just finshed when handle came off brush so will need to knock a new nail into that. Put out extra bird food as ground is frozen, the wee robin was on the birdtable - not seen him for ages

Still full of cold and feeling quite shaky today. Keep having to sit down :p so not really got much done. Went to station with OH as was going to PO with various letters and Amazon sale except forgot Amazon packet  :o. While I was out I got the email that I'd sold another book so alls well and I'll just post them both tomorrow. Just in case I got out and forget both books I've made a list of things to do tomorrow!!

Am off to bed now as heard from OH that he's arrived safely in Englandshire. Hope I'll feel better tomorrow after a decent sleep.
