Can I just say that Mr M & S's mini Belgian chocolate hot X buns are delish and the purchase of 2 packs for £2 meant I didn't have a NSD but never mind yum, yum.

Went to my course today and shivered my way there but the venue was nice and warm at least. Not much else to report - chippy tea courtesy of OH.

Email arrived re gas and electric meter readings so will send those tomorrow. Hope the DD doesn't get put up but its been so cold I wouldn't be surprised

Just watching rubbish TV and chilling out - another rock and roll Saturday night :rotfl:

Still freezing today with a bitter wind - the door from the compost bin has blown away but its been too cold to go searching so hope its not too far away. Chittered my way out to read the meter and sent the readings off - think the bill will be high as the readings seemed to be a lot

We went to Mr A this afternoon and stocked up for the week. Hoovered everywhere and did some tidying this afternoon. I listed more books on Amazon - have finally sold one so will post that tomorrow when I go to work.

Not much else to report, Teriyake salmon and noodles for tea, OH not keen so he had fishcakes. Then we had more yummy chocolate hot X buns - might have to buy more tomorrow ;).

Hope everyone has a good week and keeps warm, Teapot x

Hmmm not sure I had a very MSE day. I changed my mobile phone provider around last May and negotiated a decent deal on the phone. All fine but I noticed a while ago that the direct debits weren't being taken from my business account and the paper bills just showed me being in credit. Did nothing about it - head in the sand but got a bit concerned I might suddenly get a big bill so rang them today. Turns out that I'd been given a years worth of credit  according to the company and that was why no DDs were being taken. No idea why I had all that credit as that wasn't the deal - from what I remember it was about £30 of credit we agreed on. of course now they know their mistake the company have stopped it and will start charging me. As it was their mistake they wont charge for the other months so did myself out of a few free months. Will keep a close eye on my account to see what happens.

Had a NSD today, cut OHs hair with the clippers this morning - he might need to wear a hat if he goes out as its v short :D. Made a casserole for OH and used up some of the veg at the bottom of the fridge to bulk it out.

Did a couple of invoices for work done and a few other bits of admin but otherwise not really sure where the day went. Very cold still and quite a bit of snow this morning but it didn't lie. It got quite sunny in the afternoon so I ventured out with the recycling and also had a look at the garden. The crocuses haven'y survived the snow and ice :( and the daffodils look like they're in shock and stopped growing. Some wall flowers have flowered but not the sweet williams.

Working tomorrow and meeting a friend for a coffee and blether in between meetings. Better get off to bed as it'll be an early start.

hi Nicky, Poppy and Toerag :hello:

Don't know where the last few days have disappeared to! I know I had a long blether with friend on Wednesday but still...... Worked all day on Thursday but was off Friday so we had a trip to Mr T in the next town. Spent more than usual but got some extras [wine] as niece and her OH coming round on Mon for dinner. Had some money put aside for it though.

Saturday I was on a course all day again - really tired when I got home so didn't do much all evening and OH got us a chippy.

Today is the first day for what seems like ages that it hasn't snowed . Sunny in the day but very cold in the evening here. The daffs are nearly out but they seem very small this year - think they went into shock and stopped growing!

Rang the H@li and arranged to keep the monthly payment at the old rate so there'll be an OP every month. Also made it a round figure :rotfl:. That'll start from next month. I asked when the mortgage info will be available online again but the guy didn't know other than it'll be April. Toes getting worn out from impatient tapping .

Managed to get some washing and bedding dried today. Washing machine playing up again and not spinning properly :p.

Pudding made for tomorrow so off to bed now. Happy Easter weekend and egg eating everyone :EasterBun

I'm fed up of waiting for the online Hali info too :( The mortgage will come out tomorrow (it's another Bank holiday here today) so I want to see my balance!!

There must be something in the air with washing machines behaving badly ~ ours is completely on the blink now so will have to fork out for a new one asap as there's an ever increasing mountain of washing piling up!!

Btw, I've eaten all of my chocolate eggs, plus 2 belonging to my kids :o

Oh dear Poppy :p to the washing machine. Its amazing how quickly the washing mounts up. Hope you can find a decently priced one - think theres a few sales on. I might have a look on thurs when am in the big city. Ours is still limping on but not spinning properly and making strange noises.

No wonder you've been eating eggs - its all the stress ;). Got a bunny and been eyeng up his ears!

Was beginning to think I'd never utter these words again but it was warm enough today to sit out in the garden and have a cuppa :j.
Decided to wash the windows at the back of the house as they are in a bad way after the storms. Had to do them 4 times in the end and still there are greasy streaks :p not sure what else to try! I washed the dirt off with warm water and a wee bit of stardrops. Then rinsed that off and used a cloth with Mr M window cleaner - still streaked so used vinegar and newspaper but that didn't do it either. Knackered after all that so tackled my chocolate bunny and felt a bit sick for the rest of the afternoon :o:o.

Sold 2 books on Amazon so went up the street to post them and got some milk and stuff from the bakers for OH. PO had a very long queue and so did bank where I was going to try and do an OP in branch as online still off line! Gave up queueing in the bank though as I was losing the will to live so no OP today. Will do it either tomo or Fri though - there must be a way .

I know ~ I even uttered the word BBQ yesterday as the sun was lovely!! :D Still a bit cold though because of the wind & we're quite exposed here so no sitting out just yet.

The last time I signed into the Hal1fax there was a message saying the mortgage information would be back "in a few weeks" That's rubbish, it's already been a good couple of weeks  I don't know what to do about OPing ~ a new account number & not being able to see if it's worked makes me think I should wait. The OP is probably only going to be about £50 but I don't want it disappearing into the ether :(
