BBQ !!! Sunny again today but a bit more breezy so not sitting out weather.

Went to the bank after I got off the train this affy and did an OP for £250. I hadn't grasped that I could still do an OP online using the same sort code and account no as before [according to the cashier]. At least doing it in branch I have a receipt for the money.

When I spoke to the guy at the H@li on the phone he told me they didn't know when the info would go back online other thn that it should happen in April - am guessing theres a c@ck up somewhere which is holding up the process. Sigh........

Sold another two wee books on amazon so will post them tomo before work. Nearly the weekend - hooray

There must be something in the air with washing machines behaving badly ~ ours is completely on the blink now so will have to fork out for a new one asap as there's an ever increasing mountain of washing piling up!!

Any news on the washing machine front Poppy or have you disappeared under a mountain of washing? Our machine seems to have settled down again and is spinning ok and not making the horrible grinding noise that it was. Only a matter of time though I suspect :p

Not much to report from here - happy new tax year to all :money:

Had a long lie this morning and struggled to get out of bed when I did wake up. So.... bit of a lazy day really. Did a washing and hung it out as it was a sunny day again - hooray. Not warm enough to sit out here though :(. Also took mower out of the shed which has been leaking . The mower got quite wet but am hoping it hasn't got wet in the motor bit. Time will tell when we switch it on I guess. Anyway I left it in the sun to dry out a bit and have now covered it in a tarpaulin so hopefully iy won't get wet again.

Hope to look into ISA this week for both of us. We didn't put anything in an ISA in the financial year just gone. Would like to build up more savings in the coming year though. Have some money in a couple of previous ISAs and need to transfer them too.

Also went to Mr A this afternoon as stocks low - spent less than usual which probably means I haven't bought enough to last the week. Not helped by OH eating one of the lunches as soon as we got back! [he'd already eaten].

Did some admin bits and also made a loaf of bread, am just waiting for it to come out of the oven.

Watching TV and declttering a bottle of wine and an Easter egg left over from last weekend :D

    Hiya teapot :D

Got a new washing machine the other day & it hasn't had a day off since!! It's only a cheapish one but went through TCB & earned £3.50!! :rotfl:

I've had a lazy day too ~ sat outside for about 2 hours (albeit huddled against the wall of the house to hide from the wind!!). It was lovely to do absolutely nothing ~ I even had a sneaky glass of lager with DH ~ I do love the holidays ;)

I've decluttered some wine tonight too, but the Easter eggs were long gone :o Going to bed in a minute ~ all this sitting about has worn me out!!

I hear a rumour that the weather is going to get warmer towards the end of the week :j [if its true]. Still freezing cold at night and we are using the heating far too much :p I keep putting it off in the day but it gets too cold as soon as the sun goes in. Had to pay an extra £53 on gas and electric bill this time as the DD didn't cover what we'd used.

The birds are carrying on despite the weather and I've seen a few collecting nesting material. Quite a few more birds around than there were too. A sparrow is nesting under the edge tile on the roof, saw a load of straw disappearing under there today .

OH is away tonight - free hotel with his points, he's gone to a show which is the final installment of his Xmas pressie. I've got a long day at work tomo so won't see him until very late.

Have made some mince and tatties and got my lunch ready for tomorrow to take to work. Am 3 days fully back on my eating plan as did slip quite a bit what with Easter eggs and chocolate hot Xbuns etc :o:o. I met a friend for coffee and a blether yesterday and resisted the temptation of a scone with cream and jam - nomnom.

Cheque arrived today for some work I did last month so paid that in and bought some loo rolls on offer at the co-op - cheaper than Mr As. Saw on the news that Mr A has recalled smart price corned beef - think we have some in the cupboard as I make stovies for OH with it. Will need to check and dig in the depths of the cupboards. Don't suppose they'll refund more than the price of the tins :p.

Spent the evening chilling out, lisitng books on Amazon and watched CSI so off to bed now.

:j hooray the mortgage info is back online so I can stop tapping my feet impatiently :j. How sad am I that this has me jumping for joy. Well actually more like just raising a smile as am too knackered to jump and it might frighten the cat [and OH]. Lots more info on there and it looks like it will be helpful in tracking OPs etc. We're now on £23576 so getting there.

Not long in from work and have made lunch for tomorrow, just got the cat to feed then am off to bed .

Wonder how things are going in Cyprus, its dropped out of the news now so not sure whats happening, was thinking about it today?

 Hi Lois, Poppy, Toerag, Alchemilla and Argomatt, nice to know I'm not talking to myself :rotfl:

Bit of a rubbish day at work with cancellations and folk not turning up but got over it now :). Just found out a band we really like are doing a gig next month so going to see if I can get tickets tomo as its around the time of OH's birthday.

Must be soooooo out of the loop 'cos apparently they reformed after a 10 year gap and brought out a well received album this year all of which passed me by :o . Ah well thats what I get for reading MSE diaries and website instead of keeping up with popular culture :rotfl:

Off to bed in a bit as working tomo but almost the weekend woop woop

Hi Poppy, what did you think of the new set up on the Hali?

Thanks re mortgage too - can't quite believe we could be sub £20000, that still seems soooooo far away but I know we will get there. Maybe another 5 months or so which would be around Sept might see us in that region :j.

Hows things going with OPs etc for you? I know you said you could only make smaller OPs at the moment but are you still seeing a difference?
