Busy week at work and where did the weekend go? Half of it went sitting in a hot then cold air conditioned room doing a course for work! Yes, that was Saturday and while the course was interesting I found it hard to concentrate because the environment was so uncomfortable - now wheres the feedback form they emailed ...... ;).

Mortgage has come out and Rewards gone in - going to try and get down to £25000 on the mortgage by finding some OPs this month. ;) Going to have to think about sorting out a couple of DDs coming out of my account to comply with the new reward acct rules H@lifax are introducing. That will be a bit of pain.

Had a fairly lazy day, did a washing and tidied my self assessment papers - when I say tidied I actually just moved them into another room :o. Got a less busy week coming up so will try and file them away.............

No spend weekend apart from train fare which comes out of business acct as it was for work. Oh yes made some bread today - well I call it bread but its a bit like eating wheetabix minus milk :eek:. Its a recipe from my eating plan and a bit of an acquired taste but if I can smother it with something gloopy its just about edible. I do miss bread but this just isn't the same.

Bit of a  forecast for tomorrow - gales and snow so whiile I was going to go shopping after work with some vouchers, think I'll just head home in case the trains are disrupted. Its already really blustery out there so havent put the bin out as usual.

Have a good week all and stay warm x

Wowzers its been cold here today - a really arctic, bitter wind. Had planned to go out to the bank etc but chickened out and shivered indoors instead. Eventually turned the heating up a bit - naughty. Still at least that made it a NSD. The cat seems to have attached himself to the radiator and ventures out in 50 second bursts before wanting in again.

I did manage to file away my tax papers and statements etc finally -3 years worth :o. I'm working towards being able to use my desk rather than it just being covered in 'stuff'. I've been watching the Blandings on TV and I have similar desk issues but less exotic 'stuff' :D.

Made some mince and tatties for OH and did some washing so more housework tomorrow to keep up as was working at the weekend. Might venture out tomorrow but will see what the weather is doing.

Still baltic but not as windy so did venture out today to the bank and paid in a couple of wee cheques which will go on an OP when they clear.

Got some washing out and dried as well so at least the towels won't be hanging round the house to dry. Hoovered round and did some dusting - as it was a bit sunny for a change I could see all the dust  otherwise probably wouldn't have bothered, then to round off my rare housewifely tendencies I cleaned the wet room!! Enough now ;).

Am working tomorrow so got my packed lunch ready and then watched Poirot - realised half way through I'd seen it before, doh I thought it was a new one.

Cat has some new treats, they are useful for luring him in, and he REALLY likes then, nearly took my hand off to get them. :rotfl:.

No sales on Amazon for about a week, its all gone very quiet so will have to list a few books to see if that kick starts it. Off to bed now, all that cleaning has knackered me :rotfl:night, night.

Busy day at work yesterday and was really tired for some reason - got my monthly visitor so may be that. Consequently I got up this morning to feed the cat then went back to bed for a couple of hours - naughty but very nice :D.

Nice sunny day here - crocuses are coming up, it feels almost spring like but I don't want to get carried away with that thought. Hung out some bedding as it as so nice and thought about doing some tidying up in the garden but chickened out.

Had 2 NSDs if you don't count travel expenses y'day which comes out of my business account. Cheque arrived today for work last month so will pay that in tomorrow and have sold three books on Amazon :jafter complaining it was so quiet on there. Off to pack the books before I go to bed :)

Phew busy day for a day off! I washed the car which had experienced a fly past and dump from an incontinent seagull :eek:. That took about an hour all together and I was freezing by the time I'd finished - car not been cleaned for a while :o. I tidied up the garden too and checked the shed for a mouse nest, I've seen a mouse running about on the decking a couple of times and also saw it wiggling into the compost bin but its not living in there. Cat didn't see it either time, too busy snoring by the radiator ;). He also missed a large spider strolling by his food dish but was staring hypnotised by a rabbit on the road the other night. He's not a hunter that one.

I then did a couple of washes and made a chicken, mushroom and tattie casserole for OH. I hoovered the house and tidied up then walked into town for a haircut. Had a dry cut as its cheaper and feel better now as hair was resembling a birds nest on my head.

Was going to get a bus home but it never turned up so walked back and had a sit down due to being knackered! Spent the evening doing work emails and phonecalls. Work has picked up a bit and I've replaced quite a bit of the work I lost over the last couple of years which is a relief.

Am off to bed now as up early for work - cat is already snoring, no hypnotising rabbits tonight

Good day yeaterday - I woke up and was thinking about a friend I haven't seen for ages, put my phone on and there was a text from her asking if I was working or could meet up . We had lunch and a good old blether for ages. I didn't realise how cold I'd got though as could hardly feel my feet when I got home - not much heatng in the caff.

Later on OH and I went to a show in the big city, he's been using up his annual leave so off work for a week and I wanted to arrange some nice things to do so we've been to anther seaside town and out for lunch and then to this show. It was quite good - more his thing than mine but still enjoyable. Found a nice cafe to have a coffee before the show and I got the tickets with a voucher site so more than 50% off. All paid in cash from treats fund - very MSE ;).

Cat wanted out when we got back and didnt come back till 1am  so a late night for me.

Lazy day today, did a washing and tidied up then made some sweet potato, coriander and carrot soup, yum. Went to Mr A in the afternoon to replenish stocks and got some stuff to put in freezer. OH is away for three days next week so got rolls etc for his journey. Listed a few books on Amazon but no sales for about 10 days :p.

Worked out how much we could still OP from the letter Hali sent in January. I used to file everything away and keep good records but have now reverted to having a pile of papers which is not good :o. We OP'd £300 each so will look forward to seeing the new total when it updates on line.

Watched some rubbish TV and had a lazy evening catching up on a few diaires.

Hope the cat comes back earlier toniight - must get him a watch :rotfl:

Bit of a long lie today :j [am easy pleased] and had set heating to come on before I got up so house was getting warm - just as well as it was snowing and really cold brrrr.

Did OH's hair with the clippers this morning. More washing done - never seems to end, will need to do bedding on Tuesday, forecast is for more cold weather so don't think I'll be able to dry it outside.

Hoovered downstairs and then cleaned all the floors with the steam cleaner. Have done some work emails and bill paying etc. Sold a book on Amazon after a long gap so need to pack that up to post tomorrow. Got to get stuff ready for work - lunch, bus money etc.

Have a good week everyone x Oh yes and WELL DONE Scottish Rugby 6 Nations Team - 2nd win today; keep it up

Woke up to find there was really heavy frost this morning which didn't melt very quickly despite the sun being bright. OH was going off on the train so I had to sand and salt the decking so he could get out without going flying . He supposedly got everything ready last night for his 3 day work trip however as usual there seemed to be dozens of things he hadn't done/packed/ printed out so it was rush rush.

Once he went I got the bus into town as I had a book sale from Amazon to post . I got some shopping too as niece came to tea. We had a nice evening and a catchup blether. I made salmon teriyake with noodles which was yummy - not made it before and I think OH would like it too.

Did a couple of washes and hung out the bedding but its not quite dry. There's more bedding to do but that will have to wait as I've got a long day at work tomorrow.

Am off to bed now as its freezing here so extra blankie called for I think.
