Steve Morgan has announced that he intends to rebuild the stadium - here are the details:

Nice, provided we stay up. Back to the glory days of the 50's...;)
Nice stadium. Will you fill it? I mean the 50,000 version.0 -
What's Steve Morgan like as an owner ?
He seems a decent bloke & I'm glad that David Moores refused to sell Liverpool to him and went for Hicks & Gillette.
He's a top man!
Stays pretty much in the background. Minimal press contact (only when absolutely necessary - though a number of fans wish he was spounting off to the press every week. I prefer his quiet approach).
Everything I can see tells me he is sensible & runs the club very well. Our policies are working well. Team & club is improving. Stadium looks to be built if all else goes well. New playing surface, excellent training facilities. He has a very good relationship with the CEO & manager.
I'm a well happy fanIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

That is some of the debate locally.
Provided we are in the top flight, & prices are affordable, I feel we can. The demand is certainly there.
It is interesting that like the squad, & other aspects of the club, we are planning an evolutionary building programme, & doing 1 stand at a time. So we can build up the season ticket levels etc.
Morgan, AIUI is taking a very close personal interest in the design plans to ensure the spectator has an excellent experience in the stadium.
IIRC our largest official crowd is circa 61500 (v Liverpool).
If we keep progressing as we have done the past 4 years, demand will grow. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
