You can't beat the original Wimbledon with top flight football with gates of around 6k.

If you ever visited Plough Lane you'd understand why they only got 6k attendances.

The away terrace was larger than the home end. ;)

Problem for Oldham was they spent a fair amount a few years ago, clearly expecting Championship football would follow. When it didn't happen we were left up the proverbial creek. Decent start to the season but we'll just have to see.

Wigan are trying hard mind. Isn't their average gate only around 10k?
& only 60 fans to white hart lane last weekend?

percentage-wise, we were the highest scoring club last year, with over 98% attendance in home games.

Gen, you don't think we're a do you?

I don't think you're SGNF myself. Never been to your ground but it seems like a decent ground and the fans seem vocal enough too! It's got open corners from memory(???), bet the wind whistles through the place on the proverbial wet Tuesday night. The pitch always looks to be a decent surface too.

Crystal Palace is the worst ground I've been to in the Premiership that is still open for business. It's a horrible away end and the only saving grace is that there's a supermarket built in to the main stand so you can do your shopping before the game. The pub on the corner at the bottom of the hill is bloody awful as well. I can't remember the name of it but I went in there to wait for Mrs Generali after doing some shopping at the aforementioned supermarket and they clicked past all my songs on the jukebox including Jimi Hendrix!

Dawson is an ACL apparently. That'll be 2 months if he's lucky, a season otherwise and the end of his career if he's unlucky. Bl:):)dy England

It helps when you have player like Cleverley for free on loan, he will keep Wigan in the premiership this year.

Changing the subject a bit chaps if I may, did you read in the press last week that one of the miners stuck down the hole in Chile is a former professional player who won the national championship with his team and represented Chile at international level? It goes to show how much football has changed since the 1980s, when many even in this country left the game with modest savings and opened pubs, bars and other small - but relatively insignificant - businesses.

I hope that professionals from even very poor countries now manage to escape such grim futures just as I hope these men will be rescued long before Christmas.

Then the question is why there is not enough sold.
Presumably because the price is too high.

I went to watch my team play in Europe (Germany) and was shocked at how low the ticket prices were.
The ticket price was something like £7 for a European game

Blackburn's cheapest adult season ticket is £150, and they are selling tickets for their next home game against Fulham for £10.

I think this season might be a tough one for The Spurs.

At least you're leading in the Superleague:

Good to see the scummies giving full support to the England Euro campaign :)
Allegations about Rooney's private life were made in the News of the World and Sunday Mirror newspapers on Sunday, leading to speculation the Manchester United striker may stay behind.

Sir Jack hayward rebuilt (out of his own pocket) our stadium in the early 90's. Whilst a nice stadium, it is now looking a bit dated...

Steve Morgan has announced that he intends to rebuild the stadium - here are the details:

Nice, provided we stay up. Back to the glory days of the 50's...;)
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

What's Steve Morgan like as an owner ?

He seems a decent bloke & I'm glad that David Moores refused to sell Liverpool to him and went for Hicks & Gillette.
