    Though that does seem to require giving credit card details & then cancelling, so maybe for the organised only:
    "We only need your credit card details to verify your identity and prove you are over eighteen, you will not be charged during your free trial. You can cancel anytime if you change your mind and still keep your free titles - Just call us on 0800 08 25 100 or cancel online by visiting 'My Account', within your 14 day trial period"

    No, I didn't.

    I did sign up to the Guardian link first and then registered on Audible, so maybe that made a difference?

    I filled in the guardian stuff too. How strange! Tried logging off and tried again still wants my credit card details! Great post though.

    I suppose you could try clearing your cookies and then starting from scratch again?
