what am i doing wrong? i keep getting a perl (?) file that i cant to anything with. ive downloaded i tunes etc but cant do them. i didnt realise how backward i was at these things!

you ahve to download audible download manager for itunes before it will read the pearl file. there was a link somewhere on audible (beside the books) to check compatibility which told me what i needed.

There are also quite a few free titles on Audible all of the time. Just select a category on the left and then filter by price to "Free"! Not every category has free titles though.
