Well she's not very popular from those comments. Why is she still getting away with spouting lies? I guess some 'journalists' have no interest in the facts when it's doing a favour for your dodgy friends...Argus is getting a great reputation for untruths told thanks to Suzy:D0 -

I think the word is deluded.
They still think they can rope-in gullible idiots, the media & MP.
They'll see through them in the end.
Like in any dictatorship, as on their fb page where comments, questions are unanswered & deleted, censored, that's the only way they can do it.0 -
Verse two:
There was a young woman,
Who lived in a tent;
She had but a mattress,
and a dispute over rent.
She gave it some spin,
For the easily led;
But we found out her "squatter",
Was a tenant instead.
She went up to London,
and lobbied her MP;
to get an Early Day Motion,
from Mike Weatherley.
She launched her petition,
but we don't really mind;
As after a week,
Nobody has signed.0 -
The Suzy Butler campaign will just die from lack of support.
It took some two years of campaigning by CAB and Shelter to obtain more rights for tenants.
Mortgage Repossession (Protection of Tenants) Bill
http://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/index/campaigns/policy_campaign_publications/parliamentary_briefings/pb_housing/mortgage_repossession__protection_of_tenants__billWho supports this Bill?

As well as Citizens Advice, Shelter, Crisis and CIH, the British Property Federation, the Residential Landlords Association and the National Landlords Association are all in favour of the reforms.

Most mortgage lenders and trade body associations representing the mortgage industry support the broad aims and principles of this Bill. Whilst the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) do support this Bill, they have raised concerns about some of the details (please see annex).

The Bill also has strong cross-party support among MPs and Peers. 126 MPs signed Early Day Motion 1154 on the issue last year. 0 -

Hehe.

I've got ZERO pity if the press repeatedly hound Mike Weatherly at his home for more information. Have GMTV and BBC and others knocking on his door seeking more information about this story. Maybe his kids can answer the door if he's not there and have them deal with the questions - just like Carmen Nobre's daughter might have had to fend off Suzy Butler / police / media at the door.
If he doesn't like it, maybe the police should accompany the media as the media seeks further information. Just like the landlord took the police around to the tenant's home to push for access inside the house.
He seems to have been happy to take the side of landlord Suzy Butler... posing for all those photos at Westminster.
Not heard him give any word to what the landlord did was wrong, or show any feeling to what the tenant went through. "Told of £15 per day late" charges on top of £1200+ a month rent she'd fallen, police and media coming around, lawful tenant labelled a squatter, nation told Suzy Butler wanted her house back in April when extended contract to August ect ect ect.0 -
The MP, who has a tattoo reading 'Live for the moment'
Don't worry about any possible consequences of not doing proper research, taking professional advice, and minimising risks ect.
Sort it all out later if there's a problem with media pressure, label them squatters, distort facts, or simply pull tenant out by the hair ect.0 -

You'd think an MP would warrant something better than a "Seedy p....."...
Cheers!
