That's about the gist of it, yes.

According to the guidelines, you only have to notify them of a change of address if it occurs before the submission deadline for preference forms, or if you want them to use your new address when deciding which school place you are allocated. But it then goes on to say

Don't local authorities make a fuss over these things ? what happens if they find out ;)

Lily Chamberlain I'm 14 years old. You're adults. Jesus.
    1. Butler didn't sleep in that bloody tent! Her father is a millionaire, for crying out loud!
    2. The *ahem* "squatter" was Butler's TENANT. Butler herself is a l***, a ch*** and a spoilt, stuck-up fr*****er who used the media - the MEDIA for God's sake - to evict a worthy tenant from what was meant to be, for six months, the latter's home.
    3. Butler was enjoying a lovely time in Peru before she returned. Delivering the art of "baby massage" to the people thereof. Nice one, Suzy ;)
    4. You're not the most observant people in the world, are you? Suzy Butler's house was left in mint condition by the aforementioned TENANT. Squatter my a!!!e
Right. I've had my say now. As far as I'm concerned, I hope the poor woman (that is, the TENANT not Suzy "We have laws in this country?" Butler) seeks legal advice and sues the !!!! out of everyone who jumped on this disgusting, crap-splattered bandwagon. My thoughts are with her, and her child. I just hope she can rent again.

Chris Banks Well said Lily, your parents should be very proud of you for being so aware (not sure about the expletives though!). Also good to know that the youth of today isn't fooled for a moment.

  • There petition is flawed as pointed out by these posts:

Verity Clough Was a little disappointed to see this seems to only apply to LLs who rent their primary residence. Have suffered the long winded eviction process myself and would have liked to see more protection for all LLs. Still, a step in the right direction is a good thing. 21 hours ago · LikeUnlike · 1 personDiane Leishman likes this. ·

q1270083667_8197.jpg Diane Leishman I agree with you Verity. This does nothing to address the problems for landlords renting out buy-to-lets. It also appears to be yet another complicated beurocratic system that will require additional pressure on courts and baillifs who are already overstretched and I cant see any real benefit to me, a buy to let landlord, signing this petition.

They are self-centred idiots who consulted nobody else.

Doubt if they even have much support from landlords for their disgraceful behaviour.

They've consulted themselves, their egos and their reflections. It was unanimous.

I tried to sign but it's pre-moderated so my entry didn't appear, any-hows here's my comment to go with the signature that didn't make the grade:

"Grant a tenancy & the property becomes the T's home. A LL shouldn't breach the T's quiet enjoyment or harass the T. Will you rebalance the rent to reflect a lack of protection your Ts will get compared to Ts with professional LLs?"

Damn.... YouTube has pulled one of the Suzy Butler videos I put on YouTube.

The regional BBC News one (4)... originally recorded by Nick (see link) with recording device filming direct on his TV/screen as it played out on broadcast. Don't think he's had anything to do with it being pulled, for my giving it wider coverage on YouTube, and I gave his a credit + link to his original thread in video description for (4).

This was the description I gave video... now pulled off YouTube with a Rejected (content inappropriate) notice where it used to be in my "uploaded videos" area.

Thanks to Nick, the Site Admin of www.pimlico-flats.co.uk for obtaining this video coverage of BBC Regional News, Aug 11th, 2010: (I'm preserving video re this "story"). However... still available online here, from Nick's original upload (as well as backed up my side offline)

Also, just for backup, I've video recorded a couple of other posts Suzy Butler has made on her/their facebook campaign page:

An end to squatters rights what about homeowners rights?

Whilst also taking a lot of measures to clearly prove the source as legitimate and real in each of the two running videos, whilst each video recorded.

That way a lot harder for anyone to claim it's some sort of manipulated screen grab - having taken live running video with click-ins to display actual source.

Best viewed at 720p (can set it manually but should be already set using each of the links below), and with videos expanded to full page.
