Best thing for me was discovering I had some lovely canvas for my acrylic paints left from the last lot of paintings I did. So dad gets a painting for his birthday in 2 weeks. I make all my presents, I found that making things for people is rewarding and they love it more as it costs your time...and the money I save in making my own cards and presents is amazing.

Great news about the rent Butti! It'll make things a lot easier for you.

Claire, hope she wants lots of bracelets!

Well, the pizza barely touched the sides, I was starving, probably because I didn't have dinner yesterday.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

Unfortunately not, I forget to take pictures of them once they leave me. I do mostly flowers and still life, though Dad's getting a painting of his favourite dog, if I can paint a dog (never tried :D). I mainly do pebble pets for everyone else (a painted animal on the pebble) they're not great, but everyone likes them and displays them, or crochet scarves, which I start doing once the nights start going dark early.

I need to get my !!!! in gear and start producing stuff for the etsy and folksy websites (I have so much fabric and craft stashes) and I'll be eBaying this weekend I've decided. Have loads of [STRIKE]tat[/STRIKE] bargains to put on there!

Tenmah - Sorry to hear that - can you appeal again? Is her GP/specialist on side?

Spud - Warhammer should sell well on ebay or on a FB local site - as you say it's expensive stuff - as long as you price it reasonably you'll get shot of it. Well done on registering with ebay - we've all got to start somewhere.

Just about to put a piccy on my blog of the painting I've just recieved of DD1 - it's fab!

This forum seems just amazing...I'm glad I sought advice here :)

And I have your blog bookmarked so I can read it in a quieter moment along with all my other craft blogs. I should start my own, but I probably would never update it :D

Mines a bit hit and miss with updates, I made loads of bits the other day as pressies and forgot to photograph them....typical!

I get lost in blogs and click from one thing to another and before you know it you've lost 2 hours and gained a huge list of things you'd like to make.
