  • I've just had Jackson Joinery (Salford) to fit patio doors, front door and front window. Very impressed with the workmanship and the company. It was a pleasure to have the work done so efficiently and professionaly. Graham arrived on time and did a brilliant job with minimal disruption. I would recommend Jackson Joinery to anyone and would certainly use them again. Thanks a lot.

I know this is an old thread but I am hoping someone may be able to help. We have double glazed patio doors and need to replace one of the panes to include a cat flap.

Is anyone able to recommend someone that can provide this service in the Portsmouth area please?

    Thanks.
  • I have just found this thread we're in london and looking for a reasonable quote for fitting a cat flap to a DG door any ideas?
  • i need a cat flap in double glazed french door in scarborough, north yorkshire. can anyone guide me on this?
  • Hi - I am thinking of buying a microchip activated cat flap however our back door is made up of the top half glass and the bottom half the hard white UPVC. Everest have told us that we cannot install a cat flap - it would have to be done when the door was installed.
Does anyone know if this is true? if it isn't could anyone advsie on how it could be done please?
    Thank you

  • I have just got a cat and we have exactly the same problem - williamrobb I am hoping you will be able to sort our doors out too!! We live in Darwen and are anxious that we are not going to get ripped off!! For anyone who is curious, my partner accidentally cracked a panel in one of our windows - bought a new pane for £16, popped the old one out and put the new one in! Its not the same as cutting glass but always ask a local tradesperson before going to a big company to do your repairs, local people are a lot more honest.
  • we need to fit a cat flap in a double glazed sliding door in our new house. Any ideas? Does anyone know of a firm in Suffolk that would be able to help, saw an older post from someone in the Norwich area, did you get yours sorted?? Thanks
  • Just had ours done by Jackson's in Manchester too. Really pleased with it. Really well finished, and nicely fitted. Even kept the original double glazed unit without breaking it too (we're renting, this so have to replace it if/when we move out). Not a straight-forward job at all, so worth getting someone in who know what they're talking about.
  • Sorry, Jackson's in Salford. Not Manchester. I'll get a hammering for that.....
