I have just fitted a cat flap in a bottom door panel £70 they supplied the cat flap. I have installed a cat flap for guestybody on this forum on page 5 for £150 in toughend glass size if i remember 375mm width 1750mm height it really should not be that expensive i would say anything upto £200 fitted with the customer supplying the cat flap these are just rough prices they will vary depending on glass size but just for one in the bottom of a glazed upvc door 650mm width x 700mm height i would not charge more than £120 fitted.0

Have been reading with great interest about a cat flap in toughened glass.
I have an add on conservatory , made of wood. It opens with two long doors and the glass is etched. I have been quoted around £375 to go through the wall at the side. This is a thick base wall. Was told the glass could not be cut and the person was a specialist in cat flaps.
I could take out the glass of one door and store it. Put in another glass with cat flap, but of course, the glass wold not match the etched glass on the other panel. Is this possible?0 -
there is a site called Catflapfitter who go all over England0

Peggy i am amazed there is such a big market for this . Catflapfitters i can see the jingle "cant get better than a catflapfitter". Your etched glass is probably toughened (or should be) and you cannot cut toughened once its made. Sometimes the acid etching is just film or can be replaced with film to look like etching, just to throw my name in the hat i can do this and happy to quote . I am Merseyside area . hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0
