  • Hi,

I need a cat flap fitting into a double glazed door In Portishead, Bristol.

The door is basically split into two with a large window in the top and bottom.

I'd probably rather replace the bottom window with plastic, assuming it is cheaper.

Does anyone have any recommendations for people in the Bristol area (and rough price estimates?)

I would also consider having the whole door replaced, but I had a bad experience with a previous company doing a 'shoddy' job in my last house so I'm a little reluctant!

    Thanks!
  • I live in Leeds, I have just had my patio doors replaced by Jackson Joinery (in Salford). What a fantastic job they've done !! Professional from start to finish, great communication, they turned up on time and the man got on with the job and left no mess !! I'm so pleased with these doors that I feel like having all my other windows done !! If you want a top quality job done at a good price then Jackson Joinery are the people. I was recommended this company and I have recommended them to my Mother. Keep up the great work !!:T

I know it's quite a while since this this post first went up... But like Sarah, Ilive locally (Sale) and am in need of a cat flap in my patio door. Are you still in this business - or could you recommend anyone?
    Thanks,
    Phil.
  • So people in the Manchester area are sorted! Any news on a recommended fitter in the London area? The catflapfitter still comes up number one on Google so I'm now particularly wary of going for some random company.

    Many thanks!

Did you have any luck? I don't need one now but I am planning to have a new back door soon. I just want to keep the option of getting a catflap open in case I decide to have a cat. Is it possible to buy a door which already has a flap which can be kept shut if not needed?
