and OOOOH that trophy, what were the show producers thinking allowing that monstrosity - it might have been humorous if it wasn't sooooo big and d**ned ugly.
I thought the same thing. Jo was amazing, it's a shame Mary Ann seemed to go to pieces towards the end.
I hope they let her keep a Kitchenaid mixer or maybe one of the Smeg fridges in exchange for that horrid trophy.0 -
On another note, do we really have to wait a year to see those lovely Hollywood eyes?
No:D Thursday, 8pm BBC2. First of two masterclasses from Paul (oh and Mary too), on things like the foccacia and brandy snaps.
Let's hope for lots of lovely close-ups:T (no, not of the bread, silly
) 0 -

I loved the ovens - the door slid away underneath, and it looked like the shelves automatically slid in too.0 -
Yes that trophy was hideous!!! Really enjoyed the series again

Where the hell would you put it?!! If anyone can find a link to a pic please post it - I really want to send it to a friend who missed the final!!
Oh and well done Jo - well deserved winner - hope she gets something better out of the experience than that trophy!!!0 -

EDIT ... here's a screen-grab (it's not wonderful as I'm not at my usual computer) that gives you a slight hint of the hideousness of it

Thanks for this - I wonder if the squirrel running around the grounds was meant to stop people noticing how bad the trophy was?

Great series and a worthy winner. The squirrel and his piping bag gave me a good laugh.0

I love the show but I still wish Jason won, even if he got kicked out ages ago! He was the most creative and would have been brill in the final.
I hope they do another series so I can badger my sister to go on, she's a natural baker. She gets everything spot on first time and has casually whipped up enough brandy snaps, profiteroles, mini meringues and cheesecake for 30 people in an afternoon :eek:Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0
