It takes at least 500 bhp, and in the case of the Mondeo a new, much more streamlined body. Oh yes, you have to remove the whole interior, and replace all the panels with fibreglass ones. You then have to lower the car, and fit some sort of device to improve downforce - a wind tunnel helps.
The best bit, is that you cannot use the standard engine or gearbox.
Pistons, conrods, valves, camshafts, water pump, lightened flywheel, special clutch. Then you have to have a special gearbox put together, one WHICH WILL SUPPLY RATIOS TO ENABLE YOU TO REACH 180 MPH WITH ALL THIS NEW POWER.
I suppose that your Mondeo can rev to 9000 rpm?
How do you stop it from 180 mph?
