Ford Focus 1.6 - 145 mph!!!!!

When I could be bothered I preferred to modify the air box. I cut the bottom off the air box in my Astra, a similarly large hole in the inner wing and cut and bent up some Aluminium sheet as a crud guard. That sounded great.

Almost 10 years ago now.

Mock up.





I'm going to decommision the site sometime. Not sure what to do with it really.

By then, I'm guessing that the chip will have itself been chipped (another eBay special), and 220MPH is top speed.

Unless you're driving on a track the max speed most people should be doing is about 80mph indicated on the speedo (approx 75mph in real terms).

Oh dear they are all coming out of the woodwork, just needed some bait
I used to have a 528i BMW, and it had a lot more than 115 bhp, and struggled to hit 135 mph on the Mulsanne straight.

My corsa has 59 BHP. I run it on veg oil which probably impacts on its performance.
Could I chip it to get it to go faster? Or is the only way it will hit 3 figures is to drop it from a plane.
