Really, have I not elaborated on this enough for you distinguish the difference between different car parks.
The post #7 was in response to #3, said the definitive solution for all companies was to install barriers.
I replied as you quoted. Maybe I should have put not the solution for all companies, but for the average person it is clear what the posts meaning was.
For the pedantic people, I stand corrected if needs be.
Maybe it should have read:
"Installing barriers is no solution for ALL businessES that haVE a private car park."
Is that better?
Much better, well done. Makes sense now.0 -
And my point was that sometimes you have to look at things in an alternative way as one's first assumption
You assumed ALL clampers are cowboys, do you now accept this to be incorrect?
or potential solution to a problem may not always be the correct one.;)
Banning ALL clampers for the mistakes of others, do you also accept that this could be the case.
I know it may be a little difficult for you to accept, but do you think you could follow your own advice?

If there are ethical and fair clampers who have been caught up in this then that is indeed unfortunate. I have not read any stories which suggest that there are such companies but happy to be proven wrong.
In fact you were asked to provide examples of them in post#71 and I don't recall seeing any reply from you to that effect.0 -

If you crave the evidence so much check this website out,

Type in wheel clamping, look for the ones in your area, give them a call....
I am not here to prove or disprove anything to you or anybody else.
What I haven't done though is pass off my opinion on this subject as fact, like you and several other posters are trying so hard to do, even though you know (this may be very deep down) that you are making totally biased, incorrect statements, based only on your opinion.0 -
ha ha, Incredible Hulk, very good. Maybe not give up the day job (posting on forums in favour of clampers) time but at least raised a smile.
As has been said interminably landowners will now have to choose how big a problem this is and act accordingly. For those that perceive a big problem there are barrier options. Issuing mickey mouse tickets may work for a percentage but time is running out on that scam too.
It must have been a great shock for clampers to have woken up on Tuesday to find that the world has changed. Especially as I understand form an inside source that it came as a bolt out of the blue to many and they had been told that tighter regulation was coming instead. But it doesn't change the reality and that is what clampers and landowners will have to get their (rather large) heads around.0 -

Thanks for link, none in my area. Possibly because it is illegal in my part of the country?
I think you may have meant the last paragraph as a note to yourself as it describes exactly what you have been doing.:cool:0 -

Let's be fair here, clampers, ticket firms.... they are all solutions to the problem of people parking on private property.
Fair enough you may not like those solutions, but they only arose out of necissity, due to the problem.
Instead of debating on the good and bad points of other solutions, why not discuss the problem?0 -
