Official Valentines Roses Hunt

Just to let you know the potted roses from the Times offer were delivered early on Saturday, (in a box that said something about christmas plants...?!) Only 3 flowers in full bloom, but smells good and plenty of buds to come, unless the misses does her normal trick and kills it off within a week.
Sorry to hear about everyone's problems, but it does show you've thought about it at least. Better late and free than never!0 -
i am still waiting for my roses too, my husband rang them and shouted last night and was credited back the £20 and told they would be here first thing this morning, am still waiting!!!!!!!0

Marks and Spencer have offered me a full refund, a letter of apology and some (amount not specified) gift vouchers.
I haven't replied to their offer.
I'm still livid. It just isn't good enough. These huge companies have lost sight of their customer's needs. In all the years that I've been buying flowers for my wife, I have never been let down by late delivery. Until now. These companies need a reminder of just who keeps them in business. Just when M&S were creeping back up the popularty charts, they go and shoot themselves in the foot by allowing slap-dash customer service.
For goodness sake, who wants flowers delivered the day after Valentine's? It's got to be top of the bad-taste league.
Disgusting.
Now, do I accept their offer or give them another ranting email?0 -
Make sure that anyone who has not had flowers delivered by Tesco yesterday, rings up their Customer Services department.
They have a list of non-deliveries & even though mine wasn't delivered I was not on the list.
Only when I asked them to track the folowers on the Parcelforce website, were they willing to offer the refund plus the flowers on Thursday or Friday.
Whether they would have checked later I don't know but please ring to make sure you are on the list!!0 -
Well at least you can get through to customer services!! Any time I call sainsburys I get told (by a message) "we are experience high calls... please call back later..." and then hang up! No allowance for leaving a message or anything!
No delivery today either... yet.Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -
Well the Tesco ones I order for Mrs Bear arrived today... Loads of dead bits and one rose totally disintegrated. Won't be using Tesco flowers again... Late, dead flowers didn't do me any favours0

I have just FINALLY managed to get through to Sainsburys. They are "investigating a large number of claims" and the reasons behind them. Do we think it was 1 supplier to all??
Their line was "we will give you a full refund of course". How generouse. I said I want a refund, the flowers and compensation for the cost of calls/time. They said they will call me back.
Oh, and 10 days for a refund!! They don't take that long to TAKE my money.
Watchdog have been e-mailed!Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -

I can only say what my opinion is but here goes:
The roses arrived a day late and the condition of them reflected this.
The email I received on Valentines Evening helped to reduce any anger I had at that time and, as it turned out, they were more gratefully received by my wife as they really were a surprise.
Obviously Tesco had a problem and knew they did before close of play on Valentines. Considering what other companies may have done in the situation a full refund, late delivery of the original order, an extra bouquet at the weekend and an unprompted verbal apology is a big gesture on their part and is gratefully received. All this of course was before the call I was going to make on Tuesday morning to complain.
Whether I will use them again will depend on price and offer at the time but this experience certainly wouldn't make me turn against them.
Yes they made a mistake but they appear (in my case) to have gone out of their way to rectify it and should be applauded for this.0 -
I agree DigitalDave. The way Tesco handled it is quite good. I agree they should have got it right but at least they sorted things fairly quickly! A refund and still delivering 2 sets of flowers (the second of which they really didn't have to).
Sainsbury's on the other hand are still "investigating". They also claim to have put an 'invisible' postcard through the door yesterday telling my girlfriend she was meant to have flowers. I hope the postcard never arrives. Can you imagine? "You were meant to have flowers, but here is a postcard instead telling yoiu why you didn't get them...".
I will of course get a full refund. Woo Hoo! M&S as stated are giving free gift vouchers and a refund. I look forward to my "compensation call in the next two weeks" that I hat to ASK for. If I hadn't contatcted them I would never have heard anything.
Nice going Sainsburys Flowers...Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0
