When I bought The Takeaway Secret I also bought the Curry Secret. Has anyone got both and tried curry from them both and if so, which is better? They work on a similar principle I think - base sauce and then add to it to make variations and I'm thinking I might go with the CS one as it's specialised for curries. Anyone tried both?0

I got some muffins from Lidl which were ok, I think they were 71p for 6 but you may be able to get them cheaper.
Sainsburys have 6 muffins in their basics range for 59p.0 -

I made double (I should have used a BIG bowl - it was a bit close by the end!!) and froze both rolls and am slicing off cookies as and when. Perfect for a quick snack after school or for when I had an unexpected coffee companion the other morning! They cook from frozen in about 15 mins I think. Apparently they taste divine, but I can't eat them as they contain eggs
i know a way you CAN eat them! you'll probably have to go to a health food shop to find this but if you can get some soya flour then all you do is substitute one heaping tablespoon of soya flour and one tablespoon of water for each egg.
i've done this for years and as long as you have some other sort of fat in the recipe then this works for all baked goods (wouldn't like to try it with a custard though)
it also means it's perfectly safe to let the wee ones lick the bowl/spoon/beaters etc as there's no risk of salmonella either :T0 -
HELP!!!- i havent got coconut powder to make the chicken tikka masala - can i use coconut milk from the tin instead or can i use desicated coconut???
you could try coconut cream it's much much cheaper than coconut milk and you only need to whack off as much of the block as you need at a time. i can get blocks of it at my fav ethnic grocer in edinburgh for just 49p a block and it comes with instructions on how to make it into coconut milk so it's very versatile and cheap!:T0
