The loaf sliced much easier when cooled, popped in the oven for about 10 mins to warm it up nicely.
The kids (13 and 11 year old girlies) both were very interested in what i was making and couldn't wait to try it.
Both really enjoyed it!! and i mean REALLY enjoyed it!!:T
Comments included "yum mum" " better than chippy" and my favourite from my teenager " Your a great cook mum!!:A"
Got to add i also thought it was nicer than earlier, so i would recommend making it the day before if possible.
I did intend freezing them, but I didn't get the chance!
like you & think next time I'll cook them in advance (maybe in the oven for a little less time) & eat them next day0 -

One of the problems I have is when I break the egg in the egg ring, I'm using a silicone one because I'm worried a metal ring will scratch the non-stick pan. But I find the silicone ring doesn't quite sit flat on the pan so some of the egg leaks out the bottom.

I wondered if they used water so they were sort of steamed. I found this clip on youtube which shows how they do the eggs, it stops just after he adds some water.

I use a metal ring in a non stick pan because I don't move the ring about. Mine leaks too but I'm guessing my frying pan bottom has a slight curve in it. Or my oil isn't hot enough but I hate crispy eggs :eek::eek:"Who’s that tripping over my bridge?" roared the Troll.

I've been having a bit of a think about this egg muffin making and remembered I used to have a microwave egg poacher a few years ago. I chucked it out because I could never time it properly to cook the whites but leave the yolk runny, but this wouldn't be a problem for the egg muffin because you're meant to break the yolk anyway!
Mine looked a bit like this one but I'm sure I got it from poundstretcher or somewhere like that:

They do onion powder here: http://www.theasiancookshop.co.uk/onion-powder-ground-onion-powder-1813-p.asp but delivery (not including fresh food) is £3.95 to mainland UK, so not worth buying from there on its own. They do do free delivery on orders over £19.99 though, so if you were buying lots of spices & stuff it might work out well. I can't comment on their service as I haven't used them yet, I have them bookmarked as I am thinking of stocking up on poppadoms from them as Tesco prices are outrageous, more than double!0

Lamb kebab, WOW!!! Perfect. Smell, Looks, Taste. Exactly like the kebab shop.
I bought onion powder from sainsbury's, Was either own brand one for 78p or another brand for £1.78.
Something like that, Too lazy to go and look.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

I ordered a few bits from them the other week.
I ordered on Friday at 4.30pm and the items arrived on Monday morning. All glass jars were bubble wrapped inside the main box.
I was very impressed with the service and will definitely use them again.
It does say FREE delivery on the onion powder but not sure how that works.Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

The only thing with these is your egg wouldn't be flat like the McD ones.0 -

I found this too with my silicone one, it is one of the ones with a little metal swivel handle on the side.
Not sure if it will help you but I found that if I turned the ring uspide down it didn't leak.0
