They had some nice small spice jars in Tiger (a chain gift shop) earlier this year, glass with chrome/silver lids. I haven't been back since but I think they were 2 for a pound?

Edit: just checked their website and they are 2 for £1, but you have to buy in a shop so depends on if they have a store near you that stocks them0 -
So for xmas my B&SIL, Ma & Cousin are all getting copies of the book(s) packaged up in a hamper with the main ingredients. Does anyone know where I can get hold of some cheap empty spice jars?
My grocery bill rose massively when I first got the book because I was stocking the cupboard with all sorts of spices and ingredients that I didn't have in stock. I figure if I buy the big bulk bags of spices I can save them the major expense and cut the overall cost of each present (and maybe even have extra stock for my own cupboard!)
Try Asian/Indian Etc supermarkets for the spices.
I can get any spice or herb in 100g bags for 60p and 500g for £1.70:T
I'm doing a hamper too for my mum and mil.Ds2 born 3/4/12 8lbs 8.5:j

You could try putting a Wanted ad on Freecycle or Freegle, whichever it is you've got in your area or even on a board in local newsagent.

I got the above jars from Asda - and I bought spices on eBay - so much cheaper0 -
If you've got an Ikea nearby they do cheap and good looking spice jars. I get my herbs and spices cheap from indian / chinese supermarkets, or from costco if I can't get them from either of them. I have also seen bags of herbs in poundshops. Hope that might help...0
