    Hi all,

Made the salt and pepper chicken from the new book for dinner tonight and it is gorgeous! Better than the takeaway version I think...

Thought I'd take you a few pics :D

Salt & pepper chicken is one of the recipes on offer to sample at next week's book launch, made by the author Kenny's own fair hand :T

It is that price so you don't buy it as it is out of stock - seller doesn't have to stop and restart listing when new stock arrives, just changes price back to normal.

Yes have come across this before as you say saves having to restart listing. Can give you a bit of a shock though, I had wardrobe on watch at 99 pound next time I looked it was 900.

Quite possibly so, but many of us dont have the time or an Asian grocer near to us.
It was asked further back in the thread about the availability of these products in Supermarkets. The above products are what the local Supermarkets stock.

Whether you choose to use them is entirely up to you.
i was stating that these products that are new on the market are obviously will be costly and as a MSE poster, i thought i'd give other ppl the info that there were cheaper alternatives, if they happen to be near an Asian place.

Just to say, this is the garlic and ginger paste I use (it contains 5 spice as well)

    Chinese%205%20Spice%20Ginger%2038%20Garlic%20828416.ashx

Looking at the website they also do one with spring onion:

    Garlic%20Ginger%2038%20Spring%20Onion%20828418.ashx

But I've never actually seen this one in my local Tesco.

Home Bargains keep the spring onion and garlic one

I'm looking forward to the Gok Wan tv programme making it easy to cook chinese food. Love it but no matter what ingredients I buy or how hard I try it's never like the real thing. Hoping to find out what the secret is.

I am too, i would suggest starting a new thread about it.
I've seen him doing the rounds of a few programs promoting it and i'm really excited about it.
