I imagine they're overwhelmed with orders & haven't got enough books to meet the demand
the first book made #2 in the Amazon bestsellers list at one point, outselling Jamie, Nigella etc
My book arrived today (pre-ordered it on the 1st February), so many lovely things to try, OH is pleased there's a bhuna and DD has already put in an order for Hong Kong style sweet & sour. I'm going to sit down and have a good read tomorrow and make up a shopping list of ingredients I'm going to need.Dum Spiro Spero0 -

No, I'm afraid the mere thought makes me feel sick.
I'm not a fan of deep fried foods, which is weird, considering I'm from the West of Scotland.0 -
That could be down to this thread, after it was posted the book shot up the bestseller list.

no detriment to Kenny's book, in the absence of a big publicity campaign, it just needed word of mouth to get it off the blocks :T0 -

do you think we need a new thread for the new book or is it going to share this thread?
Hi Kittycat, I ordered from play.com and there's no delay there. Could you maybe cancel Amazon and get a refund?0 -
If you go to Amazon and click on 'Look inside', it shows an extract from the book which shows about 4 of the burger recipes.
That's the More Takeaway Secret book.0 -
Ok, for anyone who is interested in the original book, Amazon are showing the entire recipe list at the minute.

They are showing burger recipes on Amazon from the More Takeaway Secrets book, which may be taken off at any time (I think they showed the doner kebab recipe for a short spell when the original book came out).

Now we need a full recipe list from the new book, can't wait to see the full list.0 -
I had no idea this book existed and so pleased I clicked on this thread this morning. I have reserved The Takeaway Secret at the library online but I think I will be purchasing after that.
We're not big on takeaway's but we all have our favourites from different cuisines. I'm yet to make a 'takeaway' meal that was nice other than from a jar - and that's a poor cousin.
Looking forward to it!0 -

chip shop style chips
fritters
thin crust pizza base
italian pizza sauce
instant pizza sauce
margherita pizza
vegetarian stuffed crust pizza
macaroni cheese
spag bol (a friend does hers with quorn mince and you would never know)
garlic cream fettucine with bacon and mushrooms (leave out the bacon)
breaded mozarella cubes
onion rings
gralic mushrooms
potato wedges
garlic bread
chip shop curry sauce
tortilla wraps
egg muffin (breakfast fast food)
breakfast pancakes
milkshakes
hot chocolate
choc chip cookies
vanilla ice cream
cheesecake
I hope this helps. I think you'd find a lot in the book, the fettucine recipe if I was making it I would just leave out the bacon. Also no reason why for the chicken strips etc you could subsitute Quorn etc.:hello:0
