The Buffalo wings fron 'take takeaway secret'. These tasted EXACTLY like restaurant ones!
I would give these 5*'s out of 5! Will defo make them again, one thing to note it I did use the reccommended pepper sauce, and you have to be careful with the sauce, use it sparingly or you won't have enough to coat your last few chicken pieces.0 -
Honey Soy Wings
Marinating:
Cooked:
I think I left these in the oven a little while too long so were a bit dry and wouldn't really taste the honey so would reccommend using a good quality one.
I'd give these 3.5* out of 50 -
After spreaded on bread:
With sesame seeds on:
It was quite difficult frying these as the seeds did not set on the toast properly, eve though I left in the fridge for as long as was stated, but these tasted really good, especially with the red kebab sauce. They would make a perfect snack. I'm not sure how you will be able to coat 6 breads with it though, you may run out.
I've put my leftover prawn paste in the freezer to use another day.
I'd give these 4* out of 50 -
Marinating: (these were not red, not sure why they look a bit tomatory here!)
Cooked:
I thought these were nice and spicy and really liked them. They were lovely with the red and white kebab sauce.
I'd give these 4.5* out of 5
Hope all these pics have helped you decide what to make. Sorry about all the big pics, first time posting pics on mse!

This is a brilliant book, I'm going to give it to a couple of people for Christmas with a few basic spices etc to get them started, in a small hamper.
HTH.

where can you buy the coconut powder for the indian currys? a few months ago i found some coconut milk powder in tescos and this worked well but I've tried lots of supermarkets and i can't find any now
My local Asda sells Maggi coconut powder, in the ethnic foods aisle. It is a superstore though and the smaller branch nearby doesn't stock it. If you have trouble finding it PM me and I'm happy to get some and post to you. HTH.

Just popping in to say was in The Works today and they had The Takaway Secret in for £1.99.
Useful if anyone wants to get them in for Xmas.0 -
I made the sweet and sour chicken balls and rice on Saturday, my husband loved it and he's not a fan as he finds the chinese make it too sweet. I just used less sugar and more vinegar than the recipe says, I also made the buffalo wings with hot sauce and they were excellent too.0
