I made the chicken soup this week in my sc...very nice although I don't know how it tastes as I've never had it from a chinese takeaway before...still I think the soy sauce & chili powder definitley makes this soup really good! :j

Made the doner again last night but we had it whilst it was still warm instead of leaving it to go cold before slicing it.

Only two of us eat it and we got 3 kebabs each (2 last night, one for lunch today) using large pittas from Aldi, we usually get at least 10 from it when the meat is sliced cold on the slicer.

Ok, I have just sliced the 2nd kebab slab that has been in the fridge overnight.

I used the food slicer that I bought from Argos the other week and set it to 2mm thickness.

Well, I checked the frozen meat this morning and it has all frozen as individual slices which is brilliant as we can just take a few slices out if we fancy a quick snack.

Did the KFC style chicken yesterday, the coating was a nice texture and the chicken succulent, but the flavouring was v bland.
Anyone tweaked the recipe to make it more flavoursome, or more KFC-like?

A few people have added chinese 5 spice - apparently the 'missing ingredient'
