Hello-I did the PB recipe to the letter. I ended up with 4 lovely rolls-nothing like pittas but very nice. Next time I will flatten...

Thanks, I assumed it was a mistake and I think you have just confirmed it.

I have emailed the publishers to let them know.

Can anyone tell me where they bought their onion powder if it was on the high street please.

I have found garlic powder on the Tesco website but can't see any onion powder although I know sometimes they have things instore that aren't online.

    Ta.

Is onion powder the same as onion salt?

I have found that but not powder.

I have found that but not powder.

I bought Onion Granules in Asda, ingredient is 100% dehydrated onion. They are in the 'Herbs & Spices' section.

Onion salt (according to the Schwartz website) is mainly salt with onion flavour so I wouldn't use it as a substitute for powdered onion.

I just looked at mysupermarket.com and Tesco have onion granules too.

ETA Sainsburys also has onion granules and they are 94p in all 3 shops.

I bought the onion granules to make the donner kebab recipe and it was lovely!

Just finally given in and purchased from W H Smiths... can anyone tell me how on earth you know when you can collect? No where in the order process or on the confirmation e-mail did I see a time / date when I could collect.

    Thanks

I received an e-mail when it was despatched and then a phone call from my local WH Smith to say that it was ready for collection.

Anyone up yet for posting some pics of their finished recipes? :D

I am willing to put pics on here when I get around to making some of the dishes, hopefully the Lamb Doner Kebab on friday. My husband won't eat garlic during the week, he hates it when someone stinks of garlic so won't eat it at all except on fri or sat! Wuss! :rotfl:

i've made the kebab looooads of times lately, it's very good indeed and along with the sauces it's almost exactly like the real thing (although healthier, for sure!)

i made the lot last night and it's all gone apart from half a bowl of spiced onions, i was going to snack on them tonight but the fact that they're still there is tempting me into making something else to go with them tonight :D
