Thanks to whoever posted that it is available on Kindle - I had to return it to the library, so I have downloaded it onto my kindle now for the bargain price of £3.95. My mouth is watering just reading through it!0

I made the Kentucky style chicken last night and was a little disappointed
The coating came out far too garlicky and just didn't seem right. I am now beginning to wonder whether the garlic powder i have is too strong as the doner was also full of garlic flavour and we didn't like it.
However the chicken was really jucy as the coating had provided a good seal. I will do the chicken again but with half the amount of garlic and see how i get on.
I am doing pizza today (with help from ds) and i used the pizza dough to make dough balls the other day and it turned out really well. So i have good hopes for the pizza.0 -
Tonight is the mega burger at Chez Red! I am impressed with the sauce already! One question please, if the burgers are frozen do you still need to chill them once they have thawed or would the freezing be enough? Also, does the burger sauce freeze please?0

So far I have done this recipe with Beef, Chicken, Pork fillet, Mushrooms and mixed fresh veg. (I didnt marinade the veg though) Chow Mien is one of my favourite takeaways and this book has saved me a fortune! its also made a difference in that my tummy now behaves itself the next day! must be the lack of MonosodiumGlutamate, in home made meals!
The Beef Sirloin is also very very nice - just like the takeaways now I have tweaked it a bit! (less brown gravy powder).:)0 -
I made the chicken balls for dinner tonight, they were perfect although a little smaller than the ones you would get at the chinese. The sauce was good but I almost burnt it reheating so it was incredibly sticky but the taste was there.
Rice needs work but I did just do it from memory so may not have done it right
I'm gutted my copy got soaked throughhopefully it'll be saved but if not I'm buying a new copy :P

Can I ask a favour please? I have this book at home but have just decided today to make the Sausage and Egg Muffins for dinner tonight, for the first time. I remember when I skim-read the recipe that I needed herbs to go in the meat mix, can anyone PM me to tell me which herbs are needed as I can't remember!
I love this book - two successful meals made so far - Fish and Chips and the Lamb Donner kebab - both lush!

Finally managed to get garlic powder - couldn't find it anywhere until I had a mooch around Lidl and there is was, think it was about 60p.
So going to do some of the recipes in here finally but can anyone recommend which type of bread bun they are using for the burgers, the book says buy them from online stockists but not sure what that means?
Also are people making their own pittas for the donar kebabs or just buying them?
Ta peeps0
