made chicken with sweet and sour - another success, tastes lovely and fresh better than the takeaway, would only make a 1/4 of the batter next time there was tons!

anyone know how to make lemon sauce? think the chicken balls would be nice with that for next time

Hi, I've yet to try the sweet and sour but I'm planning to treat myself soon. DH adores the chilli chicken so I end up cooking that if we have chinese.

I use a Ken Hom recipe for lemon sauce and it's very good. Basically lemon juice, chicken stock and cornflour I think, but I can dig out the book for the full recipe if you're interested?

  • does anyone else find it amusing that there are pictures of a hotdog and a taco on the cover - when there are no recipes for these items :D

Just wondering - those of you who make the donners regularly, how many filled pittas do you get out of the meat? Just out of curiosity really :)

i am thinking of buying this book, how much do you think you save cooking your own compared to making it?

I usually cook from scratch but buy a takeaway about oncea fortnight, but would cook if I was going to save a decent amount of money
