Hi Everyone,
I'm wanted to make fajita mix today.
We werent planning on going to a main tescos and was just going to pop to farmfoods for our 2 for £1.50 milk.
The 2 ingredients i'm missing is onion and garlic powder.
After reading your posts i've seen that both are hard enough to find as it is but does anyone know if farmfoods (or pound land) sell the garlic powder and/or dried onions to put on salads (so i can ground them)?0 -

i thought this too lol0 -
I made the choc chip cookies yesterday and they are gorgeous. I found the cheapest place by far to buy the garlic granules and onion powder was ASDA, I think they were around 50p each for a jar. I only received the book yesterday, can't wait to try some more recipes. (I should add that I didn't use either of these in the cookies!)GC 2023 June £72/500 NSDs 1/100

Just wondering - those of you who make the donners regularly, how many filled pittas do you get out of the meat? Just out of curiosity really
12 !!!!!!!
Only because my husband doesn't like his pitta bread jam packed with meat and he likes to have some for lunch the following day.
I do make a lot of salad and we have lots of different sauces on there too.
Also, I use a Borner food slicer to slice the meat wafer thin as below.0 -
Yum, that donner meat looks lovely!! I'm going to try that recipe next weekend, have everything except the lamb mince as they don't sell that in my local lidl, and it's a long walk to tesco/morrisons as I don't drive.
I figure it's good exercise to work off some of the calories I'll consume whilst eating the kebab after though :-)0 -
Me and DH had a go at the milkshakes today, we made......
choc milkshake with grounded minstrals
banana milkshake0 -
we also had a go at making the cheesecake. this is my pitiful attempt, i used a whole tub of soft cheese so i could make a family size one for the family, but the smallest cheesecake tin i had was this size and it obviously wasnt quite enough. however the taste is amazing.0

Mmmmm, Louisa those milkshakes and the cheesecake look GORGEOUS!! I treated myself to an oreo milkshake whilst out today and it was delish. Might have to make myself one at home
For anyone that struggles with cutting the kebab meat nice and thin, I've just bought this from Argos. Used it to slice some gammon today and it is really excellent. Gonna use it for my second go at the kebabs on Tuesday to cut it nice and thin.
