TNV - Many Congrats on your beautiful boy he is fab. :j Sorry you had a crappy birth. Hugs

MV - Fab news on the scan and team BLUE.

We are going away this weekend to stay with DH best friends in welshpool. Which is fine but they have been told that they can never have children due to a condition that the girlie has part of me feels really guilty and a bit embarrased that we will be up there for 4 fours with me 6 months PG. :o I guess I know how green eyed monster I felt when TTC and everyone was getting a BFP. Friday will also be the day that our lost bean would have been due so I think it will be an emotional weekend all round :o

Sending hugs & labour vibes and welcome to the world to whom ever is in need. :A

    P.S. I swear I am having contractions ..............
If you can think it........it will happen

we have our boys name, it was OH grandads name and a middle name I like, it goes ok with the kids we have. Its not fancy and not necessarily something I'd choice if it wasnt his grandads but it'll mean alot to his nan and mum. Since OH is not good at bonding especially troublesome with our last boy I think it might help that he has had this input. I am worried about the bonding it was awful when I had DS, he wanted nothing to do with him and was really not happy about him being a boy. He was unplanned OH had begged me to try for another and I'd said I wouldn't be able to cope and wanted to wait but was already pregnant, after taking 3 years to get DD we were careless. I hated being pregnant but as soon as he arrived I loved him to bits so I wonder if OH felt more displaced by the boy than he did when DD was born. Hopefully that won't happen this time, he seems happy enough although I know he would have preferred another girl I think after everything we are both happy with either. I guess you just don't know till the baby is here but he isn't a great baby person anyway and prefers them when they get to toddler stage.
  • I want to get your guys views on my name choice ( if his baby ever comes out )
ds is called callum, I like kaelan for the new baby If it's a boy but not sure if they sound too similar, my other choice was ronan
what to you guys think, be honest I can take it

kitkat are you going for the second sweep or waiting for induction ?
Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:

Our next job is deciding on car seats...

Well I was wondering what happens in a carpark where there are no Mother and Baby spaces and there's not enough room to get the seat out? Because my doors are so thick it'll be impossible to get a car seat out if I'm parked next to another car/pillar/wall.
Never thought of this:o I'll go to Asda with the carseat during it's busiest time at weekend and let you know;) Mines a 3door too and Asda have just made spaces smaller so should be a good test...all you Derby (lurking) girls..you see a loon with an empty carseat in Spondon Asda, come and say Hi:p:rotfl:

KK must be a relief to know you have a date where bubs can arrive at the LATEST:D Just hope that you go before then! Any cobbled streets you can drive down?:rotfl:

appropriate *vibes of all descriptions* to those in need:D xxxx

ETA: MLSL I prefer Kaelan myself...I couldn't tell you why but I just don't like Ronan:o besides I think it goes well with Callum:)

TNV - Kai is beautiful, congratulations! He looks none the worse for the ordeal, although it sounds like it was truly awful for you.

Merfe - Your OH is not alone. Mine was the same at the beginning although he did his best to hide it from me. I think lots of men struggle to form a real bond until they start getting something back. My OH said that all his excited thoughts of having a child were of the fun things they could do together, and it was almost an anticlimax having a tiny demanding creature that essentially did nothing for several months.

DS has turned up in my lap for a cuddle, highly unusual, I think he has tooth trouble, but he's brought a book with him and keeps pointing out all the babies, then he patted my tummy and said "baby" it's very cute. I'm never quite sure how much he takes in, I do chat to him about the baby growing in mummy's tummy, and about being a big brother, but being only 21 months, I'm not sure how much it makes sense to him.

morning all, still sore this morning but seems slightly better. not sure if that is wishful thinking on my part though!

Called midwife office who said to call Labour ward triage to discuss if should see GP or if should go in to get checked out. Haven't called yet as OH is at work and I can't go in until he is home, even then, I would need to go alone whilst OH had the kids.

Definitely don't fancy going into labour ward, could go to the Doctors if I really had to I guess but I doubt doctor would do anything or even know what to do - probably nothing as usual....

    :o:)

edit - congrats to TNV - sorry to hear you had such a rough time with things, definitely for your own peace of mind you should ask to discuss why things went badly. :)
