Congratulations on all the new arrivals :j:j - I'm quickly getting towards the top of the list
    Gorgeous photo's too.

    Congrats on team blue MV.

    TNV - he's gorgeous! A little smasher!

MV - don't remind me! most of the time I haven't actually connected being pregnant with having a baby! Every now and again reality kicks in and I start to have a little panic about birth and having something so tiny dependent on me (and DH). But then I realise that women have done this for yonks and I'll manage it too - am totally in awe of pigpen, suzywuzy and many others who are manging this with other kids to take care of but I also try and take the positive in it that I can do it. Not sure how well and am worried about messing up somehow. We've waited for ages for this little one and I want to be the best mum I can - but not sure I will be!

    Stupid hormones!

great advice! My sister found a couple of counselling sessions really helped her after her awful time. She got it through her GP.

no word from kitkat yet, thinking of her.

ms12 sorry you had a crap day

welcome to twoflower, glad you can join us! I'd be lost in pregnancy without everyone here :)

Don't worry hon. I think your worries/fears are exactly the same as everyone else's.

I worry all the time about how much life is going to change, but then I'm also really excited and ready for the challenge.

I'm 37..I've had all those years of doing what I wanted etc, now I'm ready to be someone's mum.

    It is all scary though!

Thanks MV - that's what the rational part of my brain keeps telling me but then the stupid emotional part takes over and beats the rational part up! I'm 35 so am ready to be a mum. Guess I'll find out soon enough if I'll be a good mum! oh and don't worry about the kicking - my placenta is at the front as well but I'm still getting lots of movement (and worrying when I don't). took me until about 22/23 weeks before I was sure I was being kicked and then realised that all the strange feelings in my tummy from 17 weeks weren't actually from wind! I usually felt movement before 20 weeks when I was lying on my tummy.

BB - I refuse to count how far away from the top I am! I just keep an eye on those around the same time as me and see if I'm going through the same stuff at the same time - like hospital bags etc!

Baby is now right back under my ribs where it has spent most of the day so breathing is wee bit uncomfortable. However - for all my stressing and worry - I wouldn't change this for all the world!
  • Well done the next verse what a bad experience you had but what a gorgeous little thing . .

    Hope KK is ok.

Rach don't miss ignorant people on the train.

Had my final NCT installement was the breast feeding part was really good, made me really look forward to it. Going to write a birth plan tomorrow as I really want skin to skin contact after birth as will help with bfing. Was really good the lady got our partners involved and after all the stress I've had in the last few weeks was something positive to look forward to!

The next verse: congrats on baby Kai, he's gorgeous. So sorry you had such a traumatic birth.

    Welcome Mary!

Congrats MV on team blue, so glad your scan went ok was thinking of you.

Well I'm back from being monitored. It went ok, typically baby started moving lots when I was put on monitor but it reassured me. The heartbeat was erratic but within the guidelines so not a concern. I was having contractions while hooked up but they were too erratic for it to lead to anything. Went for KFC after it was gorgeous!

MW has recommended lots of sex! Does she not realise how painful it is?!? Otherwise I'll be induced Friday and probably be a mummy this weekend :)

Thanks everyone for thinking of me! :)
