Congrats MV on team blue and best wishes to Kitkat for the monitoring.

I am still sore, really sore when walking and climbing the stairs. I think I have done some damage to my symphysis pubis bone which is horrible! Advice seems to be rest but that's impossible with two toddlers & OH working all week.

Am seeing midwife on Thursday anyway but I can't decide whether to hold off until then or try and see the Doctor tomorrow.... :(

Don - that sounds really nasty! Hope it feels better soon

Rach - that is exactly the same at our place but I don't fancy paying back 18 weeks half pay especially if we only have one wage coming in so I thought I'd make the decision before hand. A lot can happen in a year though, especially in the NHS so I don't even know if there would be job to go back to now this white paper has come out. The other option I suppose I have is telling them I'm coming back and putting the OMP way in a separate savings account and if I do go back its a nice nest egg and if I don't I can pay it back. I'm sure it was simplier last time!!

Anyone feeling really hungry tonight? I've had dinner but still feeling famished.

MV - congratulations on team blue!:D:D

Don - I'd see how you feel when you get up in the morning and if its still bad get an emergency GP appointment rather than wait til Thursday.

Dates all looking fine too..exactly 20 weeks today so Jan 10th still the EDD.

Can someone clever add a boy symbol for me to the list please?

Lilian - we are going to have a look round the delivery centre at the hospital this coming Sunday.

Excellent news MV! Have you got names sorted out for boys? Lucky you having a look around on Sunday as well.

And I've got the details of my maternity leave and just had to decide whether I want to go back or not as this effects my Occupational Maternity Pay but have a few weeks left before I make a final decision. I don't want to go back full time so I have to see if they can offer me a part time roll.

CAn't remember if I've posted this yet but I've been told that they probably won't ask for it back from me - I work in the most badly organised company ever ;)

  • Nope no names decided yet Lilian.

I've always thought that boys names were trickier than girls. I've been thinking up lots of girls names!!!

I have a feeling it's going to be a bit of a battle with OH on the name though..

    Evening all,
I hope all it going ok for KitKat!!

Just got back from my work goodbye drinks (even though i fully intend to go back if my jobs still there). I felt a bit bad as i only stayed almost 2 hours, but i couldnt cope with the pain of sitting on a hard chair and one of the girls offered me a lift home so hubby didnt have to come and get me. Got some gorgeous pressies for the baby and choccie and smellies for me :jAs difficult as work has been, im really going to miss my work girls and feel really sad :( but am tucking in to the Choccies to cheer me up.

Hi everyone, ended up in tears this afternoon and went to bed for a few hours, am so fed up. I decided to meet friend and texted him just before i was going to set off to see if he has set off only to find he was still at home, so there was no way he was going to make it for half one, he then wanted to meet at two, so texted again before setting off to find he was only just waiting for bus ten mins before we were suppose to meet so he would have been late. By that point i was really fed up and told him i would meet another time, i just had enough. I wish i could have friends that don't take the !!!!. Why can't i have friends that have more respect for me, i would never treat friends like they do. It makes me feel that i must be a bad person and i just wish i could have some nice friends.

Congrats MV on team blue. Hope that everything is ok for kitkat. Hugs to people that need them.

  • Hi, Can I join you? My name is Mary I'm married to Daniel, we are expecting my 2nd baby, which is due on Jan 7th 2010, and its a yellow bump.

I would have liked to made more effort on the forums since getting that positive test, but I was sick as a dog in the first trimseter and we have had a close family member suffering with terminal cancer who died a few weeks ago, who lived over 150miles away so its been many a manic motorway journey.

Anyway I hope to get to know you over the coming weeks and months that we have left til our new arrivals are here.

    Mary (twoflower169) xx
