Hope all is well with every one and am sending labour vibes to all who need them

Been kinda lurking over the past week or so as I have been a bit down and keeping myself to myself here and in my 'lovely'work lol......things are just going from bad to worse in there and I am seriously thinking of saying sod it to them all and going off on the sick until I can get onto my maternity pay but I know that I won't do that coz I feel guilty that I am letting people down.....on the other hand I work in a physio department and mentioned to one of the physios that I am having really bad back and hip pain and she is referring me down to the maternity physios coz she thinks I have SPD which is the last thing I need now :(

See this is why I haven't been on.....going back to lurking (((hugs))) to all especially twoflowers and dusty I;ll be your gloom partner dusty lol

sorry guys, i just CANNOT get through 25 pages of chat (i was only away a week - wasn't I??)

Just to let people know (and its prob been mentioned) but I have just bought a lovely oldy fashioned man shirt nightie from Tesco:
cc022184_l.jpg also saw some in primark today. gonna make sooo sure i have them in my labour bag. Much trendier then "granny button nightshirts" and easy for BF then normal nightdresses. Plus if its could a c-sections allowing, you could pop a pair of joggers or pj bottoms under them if you are cold.

Well my preggers itching has got soooo much worse and now i have painful hands and feet. my array of creams and tablets aren't working for more then 2 hours (which is a nightmare over night) so off to beg the dr for some mild steroid tablets to see if they help at all. does ANYONE else have this on here?? (i believe the official name is PEP or AEP). Am only (goes to add it up) 14 weeks, have had it for the last 10 weeks in varing painful degrees, and I cannot cope with this until May! I am waking up everynight and crying uncontrollably for 2 hours because there is nothing I can do (having applied the cream and taken the tablets 2 hours previously). I was SOO depressed by Wednesday that I was sat on the bathroom floor wishing the baby would just vanish so I didn't have to go through the pain any longer.

I threatened my hubby with divorce on Thursday becuase when i was crying in the night he woke up and told me to shut up and get over it casue i was keeping him awake.......... he seems to think i am over-reacting!!

I HATE my body with a passion as I look like one huge scab.

    Lovely picture Charlie :D

Dusty hun I was exactly the same leading up to my 20 week scan, I managed to convince myself that something had gone wrong. I would definitely give the mw a call and see if you can get her to listen for HB at all - it will be worth it if it puts your mind at rest a bit. Two weeks is a long time to wait when feeling very anxious :)

  • Sorry ladies, a bit of a mammoth post coming! Taken me a while to get through the last few pages!

Thanks for all congrats etc :j

Congrats to all with babies now! Legs and bigbird, love the names, both on my lists when I wasn't sure of the sex
Labour vibes to all that need them!

Twoflower- You're constantly in my thoughts, I'm glad you have such a good support network at this time, that being said, you always have us too if you need to speak to someone that doesn't know you (and on a sidenote, your bubs is due in Jan, they'll definitely need a nice sleepsuit :o)
    Ladies with thrush, (sorry if TMI!), I suffered with this pre-pregnancy and seemed to get it every month for about 18months (even on my wedding day :() Know it may be diff when pregnant, but I found the following helps;
    Only cotton undies
Absolutely no perfumed products, sadly that includes bubble bath (but I'm going to look into the non perfumed ones as I really miss my long soaks with bubbles!)
If you dtd, go for a wee asap (again sorry if tmi!)

Giz-you have my sympathies, I had enough of ebay buyers that would try it on, and now you can't give them a neg rating its made it 10times worse IMO, how is the dispute going?

Charlie-Hope your not aching as much now! My sonographer was bashing the end of the stick thingy to try and get my LO to open her legs! She kept saying 'its ok it wont hurt bubs' but I'm laying there thinking that thats well and good but what about me lol. Lovely to see you over here, saw your scan pic-so cute!

Sammygirl-Thanks for adding me onto the list, scary how far down I am! Have you spoken to your MW? I know its easy to feel guilty about taking time off of work but I'm sure they'd prefer that you and bubs are healthy.

Dipsy-Hello nearly bump buddy! My 20week scan is on the 18th Nov but am slightly jealous of you has you'll be seeing a more developed baby and have less of a countdown afterwards :j

Dusty-I know its hard to shake the feeling of 'unpregnantness (only a pg woman could make up a word like that!), I've had the same lack of symptoms and even though my mum had the same throughout her 2 pregnancies, I havn't found it that reassuring. I also found Lily's news very hard to take too, it certainly brought me back down to earth. I'm trying to relax into it now and enjoy the excitement of it all.

I don't have any real updates, no movements yet :( I thought I was starting to have them the other week, but it was this bug that was going around-doh!

We're going to start looking into the minefield that is buggies etc in the next few weeks, if anyone has ANY other reccomendations or tips that would be really helpful, and do you think it will pay to wait until xmas sales?

Also, there's alot of talk of dopplers at the mo, what do people think of them? Have they sent anyone into any uneccessary panics? I can see this happening if I got one thats all but I'd love to get one!

    Hope everyones well :A

((((HUGS)))) to everyone who needs them! And major labour vibes to those in need.

I can't believe how quickly the past few months have gone:eek: I have 3 days left at work, which is insane!! After my night on braxton hicks last week, I decided to get my bag packed - I think it's done!

I was really looking forward to a lie in on Saturday as hubby wasn't working, so no 6am alarm:D Cue major cramp in my calf at 5.55am:o I've never had cramp like it - woke hubby up with my strange noises!! Leg is still in agony now :(

it was just hanging up in clothing with the other nighties (same with the primarni versions). however - you can order them off the tesco website. http://www.clothingattesco.com/womenswear/f+f-check-night-shirt/invt/cc022184/?bklist=&htxt=CqRsbJu%2FutV8PO2VUe7M5tbw0eF0%2BgiZGsyhRiL%2FA7J%2FD5ckTwx4gGk9NGxRQ2HoBcTxJmxJa8Ar%0AIS49VztZhg%3D%3D
