Hi Charlie and welcome :) I'm pleased you had a good scan. I've added you to the list. We'll stick with your EDD for now, but when you've got a planned C-Section date we'll put it on so we know that you'll be queue jumping :p:D

In other news, I've been bleeding today :( I haven't bled once since I got my BFP :( I genuinely don't know what to do - and I'm in work today and tomorrow :( My 20 week scan is on Wednesday, so I don't know if I should wait til then or call the midwife :( It's not loads of bleeding, but have spotted a few times today :(

Many thanks Sammy. I'll try not to queue jump lol!

I think you should call the midwife. Better to be safe than sorry and i'm sure it is nothing but I do feel the very least you should do is call the midwife. Even though we all know she'll send you up to A & E. Either way, lots of rest is needed! I think a small amount of bleeding is quite common. It's when it is lots and bright red you know that it is fresh blood and not old blood. That apparently is when you should be concerned.

  • Sammy can you speak to your boss and explain the situation?

He/she may let you work from home for the next couple of days so you can take things easy.

    Thanks girls.

After checking I would say it's reddish brown. Not bright red, but not mega dark brown. Kinda in the middle :(

It could be that you have a low lying placenta and this is pushing old blood out through the cervix. But call your MW if you're worried x

I only work 2 days a week as it is so don't want to take the p. I finish in an hour - and my day is spent glued to my desk chair so the most activity I get is walking to the toilet :o

Just got off the phone to Maternity Triage and she was lovely! Basically she said if its only spotting and not bright red don't worry. Also Ive got some stretchy type pains but not bad cramps. She said if it gets any worse then to go in.

Please god, don't let it get any worse

Sammy, call the mw and ask about the bleeding, it is unlikely to be anything but there is no point you worrying from now until your scan. If they want you to come in for a check up you could get out of work right?

At least I'm not the only bad mother twinny, should have known you'd be the one reassuring me ;). I am planning on taking babs to her / his first festival at the end of march, and there will def be some girly nights with oh left in charge :).
