Morning ladies.
Lots to catch up on over the weekend so I'll be cheeky and echo what Fairy Shazza says above.
Particularly good luck to those with sections and scans this week, best wishes to Ma Fuzz and special ((HUGS)) to Twoflower.
Still feeling very un pregnant here. So much so that I'm debating whether or not to drop into MW's this week to check heartbeat again, still another 2 weeks til my scan.
Went out for best friends birthday lunch on saturday and was very upset to hear they were all planning on going out on saturday night and I hadn't been invited. I asked why and was told it was all very last minute and they didn't want me to feel obliged after being out with them on saturday lunch. Surely that is my decision to make. This has happened a few times now and it really upsets me.
Went home and cried to OH. Even more reinforced the 'i'm so alone, I feel vulnerable, everyone forgets about me' phase I went through last week with OH -luckily it didn't send me to my mums this time though
He took me out for lunch yesterday to cheer me up and bought me a pair of maternity tights - the glamour
Fairy Shazza - ((HUGS)) to you too, these hormones are a b1tch aren't they? I'm feeling very lost and lonely from them and nothing anyone says can reassure me.
I looked at the Pilko but I want a bar handle not the two handles so decided against it. If it was a bar though I'd be buying it.
I'm getting the millie and boris colelction from M+P, mostly from ebay though :money:0 -
Giz I am suffering from hip and sort of 'side of the body/buttock' pain too.
I wake up in the early hours of every morning with a dull ache down whichever side I have been lying on. Then when I swap sides, that side begins to ache too..it's not pleasent.
I am going for a pregnancy massage next saturday which I hope may help a bit, + I do find that my yoga class helps, and failing that I just have to pop a couple of paracetamol.
Walking I get stitch like pains which are painful. Unfortunately I have a 10-15 min walk uphill past Windsor Castle everyday to do which I am finding harder and harder as time goes on, although now my attitude to this place is if I feel rubbish, I'm just not going in..simples.
Still I guess I have managed to get away with a reasonably easy pregnancy up until the lat couple of weeks, so can't complain too much.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
To those of you looking for buggies at the moment, can I suggest something I wish I'd done? Take a bag full of heavy books or something to put in the pushchair when you try it out - maybe about 10-12kg. They feel very different with the weight of a toddler in, and sometimes the ones that feel very light and manoeuvrable when empty are the very worst when they have a weight in and vice versa.
Good luck for today, Pukkamum, and Ma Fuzz. Twoflower, you're a real inspiration, have a good "normal" day today
I slept really badly last night, was awake from 2-6am, and dropped off just as OH's alarm went off, I'm really hoping it's not the start of the third trimester insomnia that I had last time - it's too early, surely...
Midwife today, DS is going to be very grouchy as he's been running round like a loon all weekend, and the appointment is right in the middle of his normal nap time, but I feel bad asking for one that's not in the middle of the day, because of all the people at work who are having to fit appointments in early or late.0 -
I'm still lurking (!) and can offer some buggy advice as I totted it up the other day and I've got through 6 or 7 pushchairs now :rotfl:
Buggies with two handles: Don't expect to answer your phone and keep walking, If you push them with one hand they go round in circles!
Pliko Pramette: I'm sure this was the one someone posted about on the parents thread as the pramette part being outgrown quickly. However I haven't had one myself.
Graco Travel Systems: Awful. Noisy, plasticky its that break, bumpy for baby. Had one once, never again! A friend has a tandem one and it's the bane of her life.
Hauk travel systems: as above!
M&P Luna: My friend has this for her 2yr old, it is inclined to tip backwards a lot. She bought it because it was smaller than her Phil and teds and wishes she hadn't sometimes.
Jane slalom: I have this as the travel system for squeak. I will say it takes up a lot of room on the bus, but it's great for walking with. The control for the from wheel swivel is a pain in the butt, sometimes it will randomly go on non swivel mode when you're trying to get off the bus, cue bad words from me
Maclaren stroller types Techno etc: I had the twin techno and the twins seemed very exposed and the ride wasn't very smooth for them. Every bump went right through the buggy.
Quinny Buzz 3: Seriously why do they make these? I've seen these fall down between the bus and kerb many times. People get issues with the front wheel and it's very bulky.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I very much suspect it's one of those things that is good for colds, then makes no difference, then is good for colds etc etc. Certainly a few years ago it was good.If having different experiences, thoughts and ideas to you, or having an opinion that you don't understand, makes me a troll, then I am proud to be a 100% crying, talking, sleeping, walking, living Troll. :hello:0 -

Morning everyone! On the subject of prams I have been looking at the Silver Cross 3d travel system and I was wondering if anyone had any views on it or if it was even any good or not. I really like it but I dont have anything to compare it to. Hope someone can help.
Cant believe I am coming up on the 27 week mark, only feels like yesterday that I got my positive test result.

I love my Silver Cross had it 3 years and looks 3 months old it's heavy and doesn't fold down very small but it fits in my Zafira and DH's PT Cruiser fine.
I have the sleepover deluxe and it converts into a bed! I got it in 2007 for only £289 inc carseat and loads of other stuff, as it was in an unpopular colour grey and lemon (now discontinued) I think it would be £800 now for all the stuff I got. Here's most of it.

I also got a Luna, I agree about the tipping but if you don't put bags on the handles it's fine and I can't find any other faults.AKA: PC
