    Good Luck for tomorrow pukkamum.

TMI alert here. I have thrush :( Want to itch all my skin off! I'll go to the pharmacy tomorrow but will they give me anything or tell me to go to the docs as I am preg?

depends how lucky you are, technically the products are not licenced for sale to pregnant ladies so you should get told to see gp - it'll be free on prescription too as a mse way to look at it.
  • Ice - I have exactly the same and in fact I have made it a lot worse becoz of the scratching. The docs only gave me canestan and it hasnt helped at all. Im now nearly 27 weeks and it has been going on all the way throughout my pregnancy and I dont see it getting better.

  • I've tried that but sometimes it is just so unbearable that I cant help it. The doctors have said that there is nothing else that they can do so I suppose I just have to deal with it, still painful though and is very embarrassing especially when I am at work.

Good luck Pukkamum :jI don't envy the nil by mouth bit, but you'll be getting your mummy cuddles soon :)

Twoflower, as usual I don't know what to say. Big hugs to you.

Sharkeybabe, sorry if I've missed posts, why are you home alone for 3 months? Can you take up a hobby? Knit a blanket for baby? Cross stitch something for the nursery? Have you got any NCT meet ups near you? In my area there are 'coffee mornings' for bumps and babies. I'm hoping to have the guts to maybe go myself when on mat leave. Bet I don't though! I joined a scrapbooking group about 5 months ago, it's only once a month but I'm still useless at talking to anyone.

We went to Guildford today. OH used his £5 debs voucher to get the pair of bunny vests for £1 :) Got a free bag of Vieneese truffles from Thorntons :money: and nearly finished them all! Also got a bargain box of 60 continental chocs for £9.99 for an Xmas pressie.
And finally, got my big knickers from Primark (thanks Lilian for the tip) for £2.50. Bargain. And PJs for £5. So I'm happy.

  • Merfe - sorry getting everyone confused. Hope all goes well for you tomorrow.

Not sure who mentioned thrush, but I had 2 bouts of that whilst pregnant and the doc supplied pessary and cream. Used both and seemed to do the trick. Bloody horrid though - you have my full sympathy.
