Woke up this morning and realised this is the last tuesday i'll wake up pregnant HOORAY!!!!!
C-section on monday and i literally cannot wait, between constant indigestion, reflux, back ache, trapped wind this pregnancy has not been fun!!!!!!!
Am desperately trying to get the house in order now ready for my mum to come and clean the floors (i know how mad that sounds but can't bear the criticism).

Now all we need is a name, i'm starting to think we only have two names in us (this is baby 3) as we cannot find anything that we both love just a few we 'don't mind'.

So any suggestions gratefully recieved for a girl.
I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.
• Morning all

Feeling loads better today, like a cloud has been lifted, it's good feeling, please let it last!

Just catching up on past posts - hugs to Dusty, Paws & Twoflower x

Thanks Lilac, I know things will be ok, its sometimes just getting my overactive brain to believe it too sometimes!!

Little fella was in an awkward position yesterday and was kicking my cervix for all his was worth last night which was most uncomfortable and I now feel a bit sore IYKWIM! He seems to have moved now though and has found my ribs! I bet I'm black and blue inside.

GFH Has my cynical thoughts about midwives. DD1 i was told there was no way i was in labour but just to make me happy they would check to see if *ANY* dilation oo what ya know i'm 5-6cms then told OH to go get food as it was a sunday and everything shutting and i wouldn''t deliver for ages and CX looked mild on trace and i was coping fine the oh look theres a head. DD2 induced apperently i wasn't in labour yet i knew i was sad i wanted to push told not to be silly i wasn't even in labour the computer said so oh look whats the head doing down there then.

Very similar thing happened to me when I was having DD, induced at 12pm, went into labour at 3pm. At 6.45pm I had bearing down pains in which the midwife said "Oh, you've not in labour yet - it's too early!" I begged her to check to make sure, which she did - reluctantly - only to find I was 10cm!
I have never seen someone move so fast and DD was born 30mins later! I did get my revenge by soaking her with my waters though!! :rotfl:

Hope Fuzz and the other bold ladies are enjoying mummy cuddles!!

Been looking into new careers with animals. Looks like working at Chessington Zoo might be out as there is a job up at the moment, but it asks for "an animal qualification". I need to investigate more to find out what that means. I looked at some local animal courses, but they are 2 years long at over £2k a year :( Just cannot afford that right now and being a 'mature' student I wouldn't get any help.

I also feel that I'm going to struggle to get an animal job because I've not got any formal experience with animals. I just haven't had time to volunteer and I'll have even less time with baby. It seems that veterinary nursing is still my best option with on the job training, even if the pay is super low, but OH works some late nights each week and I'm not sure how to juggle a toddler if I was on call while OH was working late.

Sorry, went off a bit there. Helps to get these things written down sometimes :)

Don't rule out sideways movements, eg get a job somewhere at the zoo, even if it's not perticularly animal related - shop, cafe, ticket seller etc. Once you're in, you can start asking about 'if it's quiet today, any chance I can help with blah' or if they have someone who does animal work off sick, you can see if you can cover.

My friend moved sideways in a museum. She started off in the shop, and now maintains one of the collections, albeit a small one.

Once your foot is in the door, keep it wedged there :D

Were kinda struggling too as we have already used our 2 favourite names lol.
I like Louisa for a girl and Bethan. My DD is called Eva Sarah and ive always loved it.

My last name is very Scottish and nothing really sounds that great with it.(i much prefer OH's lastname )

great news you only have a few days to go.

• Morning all.

Still no new arrival news?? (taps foot impatiently)

I need my fix of new baby pics! :D

Hope everyone is well?

I have been thinking about Paws..any news from her? Did she manage to speak to the hospital following her test result?
Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,
You don't even take him seriously,
How am I going to get to heaven?,
When I'm just balanced so precariously..
• Sorry ladies.....I'm still with-child:( Not for the want of trying!
I was MIA coz FIL had a little fall so took him to the hospital, took ages and although it wasn't serious we aint taking any chances with the old g!t:p
However I've had my sweep and was 2-3cm dilated yesterday so all heading in the right direction but contractions are not regular, and I'm fed up, bored and generally feel like crying mixed in with a little nausea and loss of appetite..and the squits which is lovely mid-contraction..NOT!!!...and I could've written Legs' post myself:o
On the plus side at least I haven't got a halloween baby:D

WARNING: self-indulgent rant:mad:
I am really down today with the pressure of having this baby.:(
I have tried curry, sex, ball-bouncing, nipple stimulation (half-heartedly - too sore), walking and frantic cleaning but nothing has happened.

Just ignored 2 phone calls - one from mum and one from OH's mum. Both phoned yesterday to see if anything is happening and I saw my mum Sat and Sun so why the constant calls today?!!!! It'll happen when it happens and then we will tell them as soon as it does.
I know it is well meaning but I feel constantly badgered. As I type, the effing phone is going again!!Arghhhhhhhhh!
I'll never give out my due date if I ever get pregnant again.
Glad its not just me! I'm screening calls atm and will only answer to hubby and thats only coz he's petrified I'll go into 'proper' labour while he's the other side of the county!

Welcome to Zebusi and Alamya:T Zebusi whens your EDD hun??

Bigbird Jammy cow for getting a show..I want something definite like that but nada so far! I hope it's all happening for you now:) At least one of us has to have some good news soon!
LeopardLady you dare go into labour before us bolded ladies and we'll have a lynch mob to you before you can say 'contraction':p:rotfl:

Cutterby, I wouldn't worrying about remembering everything, very few of us actually do...we just wait for Sammys epic summary posts;):D

Nic how exciting about the house! I can understand your excitement and fear but once you're there and settled you'll be fine:) Besides its a great excuse for a pre-xmas clear out:T

Question - for those who have had sweeps before...is it quite normal to pass a clot a couple of hours after wasn't mentioned by the MW and I never thought to ask, was too excited at the thought of being 2-3cms dilated:o and still have spotting the next day?? Its all brown blood now and bubs is moving so I'm not worried just curious :) TIA x

LABOUR VIBES TO ALL IN NEED, I'll be popping on and off today and thank you for all the posts wondering where I was....it's lovely to know you're all thinking of me...even those who popped ages ago:D Although it is slightly embarassing that I post so much:rotfl::rotfl:

I've been Money Tipped!
My midwife (even though i have not met her yet and get a different one at each visit) has U turned on my home birth plan.

Wont even entertain it.

I have been booked in to the birth centre (without me saying I even wanted it) I only found out by chance when I asked when do I get my birth pack delivered and my pethedine script.

Again I get every excuse under the sun from staffing, funding, wasting ambulance time if i need a transfer etc etc etc blah blah blah

The clincher was 'if your not booked for a HB then we wont send a midwife to you so if you want a midwife then you HAVE to go to hospital'

I feel like telling them to go f**k themselves and get an indipendant midwife

Hi peeps and bumps

Hugs to Dusty, hope you figure out what is right and we are here when you need us (ranting is always fine on here and might help to let off steam) xx

Hugs to twoflower and pawpurrs xx

I am loving the "what I wish I'd known with a newborn" thread on the board, is there any chance we could link to it from the EDD list (if people would find it useful). I have already thought quite a bit about afterwards and I am going to be very strict with visitors and where we go out (OH's sister had her baby at a family gathering within a few weeks and baby was passed round about 17 people, have already told OH that this is definitely not happening and will pre warn his folks as well).

I am feeling huge today, but fat huge not baby huge. I think I have been overdoing it on eating what I feel like, and someone had a tin of roses in the office that I must have scoffed about half of  :rotfl:
Have really decided I need to stop doing stuff like this - not that I want to be too strict (although be nice not to have a ridiculous amount of weight to lose after bubs) but all that sugar can't be good for baby and if I'm not careful I'll give myself diabetes. So today I have lentil soup, couple of apples, nice brown roll and some pom bears that I've already scoffed. Going to make up loads of soup tonight so I can keep up the relatively healthy side of things and just make choc an occasional treat.

Going out to use my debenhams voucher today, hoping to find myself some new maternity bras, fingers crossed for bargain hunting.

Oh and also got a huge parcel of maternity clothes from my friend who has just started her maternity leave - she sent me everything she was wearing at work, so am now almost fully kitted out :)

Can't remember what everyone's said so sorry for the lack of specific replies but hugs to everyone, labour vibes to those in bold and hoping to see some baby pics soon (Fuzz?)

Em and bump xx
