    WARNING: self-indulgent rant:mad:
I am really down today with the pressure of having this baby.:(
I have tried curry, sex, ball-bouncing, nipple stimulation (half-heartedly - too sore), walking and frantic cleaning but nothing has happened.

Just ignored 2 phone calls - one from mum and one from OH's mum. Both phoned yesterday to see if anything is happening and I saw my mum Sat and Sun so why the constant calls today?!!!! It'll happen when it happens and then we will tell them as soon as it does.
I know it is well meaning but I feel constantly badgered. As I type, the effing phone is going again!!Arghhhhhhhhh!
I'll never give out my due date if I ever get pregnant again.

Anyway, sorry for being pathetic - it's not a real problem when I think of recent news on here:o and Dusty, don't stay away if you need the support.

Think I need to go lie down.

    *self-indulgent rant over.*

ETA - The trickle has dried up!

((hugs)) ladylegs. I can totally empathise with you...my parents and inlaws are going to be the same. I wish I'd read the advice given recently by someone on here about telling people the due date as 2 weeks later than it really is before I'd told everyone :)

I have quite a short temper and I can imagine if mum phones to ask if I'm in labour yet I'll respond with something like..."Oh I had the baby last night". And we'll end up with a huge row.

Well that news about Lily Allen has just tipped me over the edge. Had to run to the loos in a blubbering mess. :(

I forgot to say, got my quad results on saturday morning 1:12,000 so low risk, very happy with that but thought about pawpurrs, hope she is ok.

I have decided to stay at my mums for the week maybe even a bit longer, this is unless some dramatic gesture is made soon but I doubt it. Not that it makes much difference to him as he works nights so prob wont even realise I've gone. I will go in tonight and leave him a note.
Need to use this time to think about what we both want and are we together just through convienience and the baby or do we actually want to be together. I think a few days apart for thinking space then a serious heart to heart is what is needed.

I will continue to lurk for baby news but I think I will refrain from posting for a while as my head is all over the place and I don't want to be all doom and gloom.

Labour vibes to all those that need it....xx
Awww Dusty, big hugs for you. Don't feel you can't post, we're here to listen.

So sorry to hear about Lily Allen :( I think it's pretty rare to loose baby that far along though.

    Hugs to Dusty.

Good luck moving vibes for Nic.

Thinking of you Pawpurrs and Twoflower x

Labour vibes to all the bold ladies, hope things get moving soon!

Hope everyone else is well. I'm not doing too badly, very very tired though!
  • Ladylegs - I too am fed up with the constant phone calls asking if I've had it yet!! I've constantly told everyone they will be informed at every stage........note to all you other lasies - add 2 wks on when people ask for your due date ;)

Thats horrid for Lily Allen :( Like others have said its pretty rare that happens.

Well considering I'm past my due date, I am feeling pretty damn good. Reckon that means I will be in bold for some time yet.......

Sammy, have you tried ginger tea, or ginger and honey? I find that better for colds than lemon and might be a change at least - literally put slices of root ginger in a mug and pour on hot water (or you can make it in a pot and strain).

    Thanks Ema :)

Sorry for the dim question, but where can I get some root ginger? Can I pick it up at the Supermarket, or Holland & Barrett?

Dusty - keep posting hon. It's good to get it off your chest. Hope you resolve things soon.

I'm thinking of Pawpurrs and Twoflower too. I hope they're ok

evening all!! hope everyone is well. ive got my feet up watching all the soaps! does anyone have any good ideas on how to get bambino to turn? she is back to back atm and all the midwife can suggest is crawling around my house, watching tv on all fours or bouncing on my ball but any other ideas would be more than welcome!!! Oh I've never heard of the hindwaters :o Does this always come first before the proper waters go?

You tend to get one or the other, hindwater is just a slow trickle, where the midwives say patronisingly "You would know if you were in labour" and then "Oh, you are" just like when you say you need to push and they say "Don't be silly you've got ages yet" and then "Oh er yes there's the head"

    Cynical, moi??

Grateful hope you start feeling better soon xx

    Thanks hun.

sammy not long 'til scanarama! Ginger in the salad section of supermarket, looks like a light brown knobbly stick (ooeerrr). You only need an inch or so()

Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

    Thank you :)

Sorry to hear you're full of cold too - it sucks doesn't it?!

I shall have a hunt for the ginger root at Sainsbugs. I don't tend to hang around the fruit & veg section too much :o

Not long til our scans at all - very exciting! In fact, Fizz on Corrie is having her 20 week scan today!!

I can't believe we reach the half way point in our pregnancy this week - scary stuff!!!
