Afternoon Lady Bumps
LABOUR VIBES to all those in need
Great news on the scans :j
I saw my Physio today and we wrote a letter that she is letting me have tomorrow to take when I see the consultant we her recommending a sun roof for me
I also saw my counsellor at the hospital who went to the clinic for me to get them to ensure I get seen by a consultant and that I am not fobbed off like last week again
Seems very odd to think that by tomorrow I could know when little miss bump will arrive.
If i get my sun roof agreed I have lots of stupid questions would anyone who has had a sunroof before mind me PMing them with my questions?????
Fingers crossed the baby boom will happen soon for all the bold ladies sending you my thoughts and best wishes for mummy cuddlesIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
My midwife (even though i have not met her yet and get a different one at each visit) has U turned on my home birth plan.
Wont even entertain it.
I have been booked in to the birth centre (without me saying I even wanted it) I only found out by chance when I asked when do I get my birth pack delivered and my pethedine script.
Again I get every excuse under the sun from staffing, funding, wasting ambulance time if i need a transfer etc etc etc blah blah blah
The clincher was 'if your not booked for a HB then we wont send a midwife to you so if you want a midwife then you HAVE to go to hospital'
I feel like telling them to go f**k themselves and get an indipendant midwifeOK, it's time for more of my stupid questions...
Big knickers...(I found them in debs - so want to use £5 voucher still). What size do I get? I have size 12, but I've found they are are on the small side now I'm preggers. So 14 would probably fit better right now. So should I go for size 16 for after birth?
PJs...I don't own any. I'm guessing I need some for hospital? I've read that a button up front is a good idea as it makes BF easier. Do I just get normal PJs or maternity PJs? In what size? To fit when I'm 40 weeks pregnant? Or smaller? Should I just get some cheapies from Primark?
I just take normal PJs with a lot of stretch in them for after the birth... I'm not a nightie person, much prefer jammies... And I can't bear button downs, I'm happy enough to hoik my top up for feeding... But can understand why some people would be happier with buttons...
My back is sooper aching today, alright when I'm sitting down but agony when I get up and move... Not looking forward to the school run in an hourA very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

tinks I'm happy to answer any questions I can help with, feel free to pm x
TBH I prefer pj too but the nightie is essential for after c-section because of the cathetar and possible drain still being in, I'm just taking a short old nightie in for that.0 -
Midwife has booked me in for an induction Nov 11th - reality check or what!!! I'm actually going to have a baby - its finally sinking in
Other half was a little miffed when I told him as its remeberance day - how inconsiderate of me  (he's in the services if you didn't guess) So I'm under strict instructions to get it out by then so he doesn't miss his regimental dinner - bloody marvelous!!
Good luck Fuzz and Ladylegs - sounds like yours is progressing at last :T0 -
Just popping in to check on Fuzz and Legs. Come on girls get a move on!!! Only joking, as one who went overdue, I know how annoying it is!
Can some of you lurking mummy graduates give this lot some baby pics while we continue to wait for our deliveries???
Honestly, these babies are about as punctual as a Vertbaudet order.
Fuzz, ooh, you are such a baby-tease.:rotfl: That is the second time we've thought you were in labour but at least you've got some centimetres dilation under your belt now
Fairy Congrats on Team Yellow:j
Emsy Best of luck with this 2nd sweep - hopefully a MUCH better experience than the 1st xx0 -

I wonder if you'll be able to honour the minute's silence between contractions:p
Good news though and you shouldn't forget the day!
I'm not progressing like Fuzz - unless these BHs are the real deal and that leak yesterday meant something. Just know I'll be the one that gives birth on the loo and be one of those "and finally" news stories :eek:0 -

Try http://www.aims.org.uk/. There is a section under the 'articles' tab which talks about homebirth and gives advice on what to do if you are being bullied out of a homebirth. Hope this helps.
I have already armed myself with that ammo which is what swung it first time.
I so far have met one amazing midwife (and her student follower) who is keen as punch to do the homebirth, one MW who appears to have a degree in sadism and another who sits on the fence (i think she may just have qualified as she has never done a HB yet)
I looked in to a independent MW but thats about £2-4k:eek:0 -
Plymouth I've got mine booked in for the 12th!:p One way or another we're gonna have babies in approx 10days:eek::THonestly, these babies are about as punctual as a Vertbaudet order.I'm not progressing like Fuzz - unless these BHs are the real deal and that leak yesterday meant something.
